Can this franchise be just as great in it's third instalment if Hugh Jackman is not in it?
Don't get me wrong I like Wolvie and all, but I think it's time to put some new characters into the spotlight and see what happens. Personally, I would like to see the main group consist of (Professor X and Cyclops (of course), Collosus, Storm (hopefully Halle's replaced by Angela Bassett) , Nightcrawler ,Gambit, Beast and Ice Man )What do you think?

Yeah, it could. He's getting his own movie, so it's not like people will be denied of wolvie or anything...
However they cant totally write hime out. They would atleast have to explain why he's away.
However, i dont know how well it wouldwork without a Storm...

I didn't say "no" Storm, I simply wish that Halle Berrie would be replaced with the likes of 'Angela Basset' or someone along those lines. Halle's just too weak for the part. Storm is supposed to be a tough chick. Let's not forget that she was the leader of the X-Men for a while, even after she lost her powers.

Here's how I see it, (allthough it wouldn't happen) could you really see Hallie Berrie with a mohawk?.. NOPE!!

You jsut had to bring up the stupid mohawk.. didn't you?
Meh.. mohawk ot not, Halle was horrible in the part. Not as bad in the second one, but still could ahve used someone else in the part. hell, they recast Kitty. Wish they did the same for Ororo. Well at least she won't be playing any other comic heroniens and messing up those characters. ... wait.. crap.

Wolvie has basically been the main character for the past two movies. You take him out, you take out the main character and leave the supporting cast to pick up the slack.
Now comes the part where I relieve you, the little people, of the burden of your failed and useless lives. But remember, as my plastic surgeon always said: if you gotta go, go with a smile.

What you are forgetting my dear boy, is that Wolverine was not the main character of the X-Men comics. He may be cool, and his origins very interresting, but Cyclops should actually be the star. I personally feel he's been getting a little too much screen time and that we need to explore the other characters a little more. Wolvies getting his own film, so there is no need to feel he won't get his time in the spotlight.
What, how come no-one suggests that perhaps the time is ripe for Dougray Scott to step into the limelight and cast aside the throes of obscurity by assuming the Wolverine mantle? http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/wink.gif
I recall James Marsden was a pretty good singer in Ally McBeal. Perhaps he could be persuaded to do a song and dance routine for X3.
Meoww! Send in the clowns!

...Ummm...errr..I think your missing the point. I honestly believe that we don't need (Hugh Jackman/Logan) to make a 3rd part work. There's no need for a casting call to fill his shoes. There are so many great characters in the X-Men stories, let's explore a bit. I actually believe that if they started changing the actors of the main characters at this point(with the exception of Halle), it would spell the demise of the series.
