First question.
Is this the Warren Worthington III 'Angel' or Angel Salvatore 'Angel'?

Second Question.
If it's the Warren 'Angel', why make him a woman?

Third Question.
What happened to Emma Frost as a new character?

Fourth Question.
If Gambit wouldn't be in a love triangle with Rogue and Iceman, what would his role be set as?

Fifth Question.
Why would Beast be played by a different actor than Steve Bacic?

I know I just submitted this topic a few minutes ago but I got info that shows Jessica Simpson will have a small role as Dazzler in X-3. Here's the website

Do they really have the money to make the furry Beast, the phoenix force, a big-name star for Gambit, and to pay this ditzy blonde to play a lounge singer?

It probably wouldn't cost all that much to have Simpson in the movie. The movies are filmed in Canada so all they have to do is pay her with Monopoly money and tell her it's Canadian currency. I'm sure she'll never figure it out.

1.I have no idea which Angel they're going for.

2. IGN, who broke the story, quickly followed up by saying that Angel will be a DUDE/MAN/GUY.

3.Was there ever a rumour about Emma Frost? Cos if there was, I'd take it as just a rumour along the Jessica-if only I had another braincell so I could rub them together for warmth-Simpson.

4.I dont know Gambits role-I dont think they should even introduce him if he doesnt fit into the story. It's just lame-ass bowing to fan pressure (Venom in Spidey 3?).
On screen Gambits power wont look too dissimiliar to Cyclops' and his character of outsider/badass/charmer-is already taken by Wolvie. They need to wait till X4, after Wolvie has dissappeared off into his movie.

5.Steve Bacic played the character in a cameo-same as the actor replaced by Aaron Stamford as Pyro.
Same too as Colossus (Daniel Cudmore probably wasnt on set sketching in X1).
It'll be a big part, they may require a better actor....of course we havent heard that Bacic ISNT in the running.

Get X3 done now and risk a (C2F term) "Schumacher" ...or wait for Singer.

Seriously Fox, theres no law against a director deciding to work on another film, surely-dont be such studio-nazi's!!!

Wait for Singer and then do what Matrix/BTTF/POTC did and film 2 (or 3) in succession.

I feel it will become a completely different animal (Singer has made so many changes to the original source material that any deviations could seriously alienate a lot of fans).

I don't think we'll be seeing Jessica Simpson in an X-Men movie. It would be way too much of a distraction for audiences and I'm sure the producers know that. Although I've never really bought into that whole "dumb blonde" schtick of her's (I doubt anyone that supposedly stupid could get as far in life as she has) I still don't believe she has the depth or range to portray even Dazzler (who isn't the most complicated character in comics).

Having said that, at least Simpson has some discernible musical talent. If they go and cast someone like Paris Hilton I would be really peeved...

i heard a rumor about emma frost, and they wanted sigourney weaver for the part. granted, she wouldn't be the physical version that everyone would want, but i think she would have been good.

Being that I remember the original X-Men from the sixties and seventies, I really would like to see what they do with The Angel and with Beast. That would fill out the original cast of characters from the original X-series, but, of course, Jean Gray isn't there now. By the way, I always wondered something: why didn't they ever, in the first 2 X-films, ever refer to Jean as "Marvel Girl"?? Did they just feel that it was too corny to be able to translate to film? Anyone know the reason for this? Please........SHARE!

It's just that she's mostly known as Jean or phoenix and rarely as marvel girl. In present comics, rachel grey is called marvel girl.

Yeah, there is this new character in Uncanny and Adjectiveless X-men called Marvel Girl. I haven't paid attention to her as she was created in Claremont's recent run on those books and I don't care for his current stuff.

I did think I heard he name was Summers, so who knows what kind of future universe child of someone she is.

I do know Deadpool put on her miniskirted cosume one time when he invaded the mansion.

If I remember my X-men history correctly:

Rachel Grey-Summers is the daughter of Scott and Jean in an alternate timeline. When she was mistakenly sent back to the "accepted" timeline she took on the moniker of Phoenix in honor of her supposedly dead "mother", joined Excaliber, and most recently took on the name Marvel Girl. Rachel has near duplicate powers of Jean Grey. She can also tap into the Phoenix Force and shunt herself into different timelines.

I'm sure by now everybody on here as heard that Kellsey Grammer has been tabbed to play Hank McCoy/The Beast. So I won't go into what I said already in the "Holy Crap, didn't see that one coming" thread. But I do remember reading in that same story on IESB.net that they are going to somewhat take their time in casting The Angel. They want to "get it right", I believe is what Avi Arad said (don't quote me on that, I just seem to remember it being said that way.......could be wrong). On other casting news for this film, is it true that they aren't going to be bringing back the guy who played Cyclops in the last film? 'Cause I wouldn't mind seeing him back again, I thought he was great. And I DO like the idea of casting Vinnie Jones in the role of The Juggernaut. I think he'll be really good in the role.

Avi Arad has stated specifically that everybody will be back from the last film. While I don't know if that literally means EVERYBODY (Nightcrawler, Mystique, etc) I'm sure that at least means the core team will return.

I hope Colossus isn't forgotten...
