Even though it's been canned, we can still share our thoughts of who would be a good pick for the roles.
My Picks:
Terry McGinnis: I can't think of anyone who would do a good job. Will Freidle? maybe. Josh Hartnett? AAAAAAAAAAAAARGH! Get an unknown and dub Will's voice.
Bruce Wayne: Kevin Conroy. He can't be the bat cause he's too old, but if anyone else plays this part they die. Conroy is the best Batman ever and should play this role.
Or maybe Clint Eastwood as my second choice.
Comissioner Gordon: Jane Curtain. She looks right and I can't see anyone else playing that part.
Blight: I dunno. NOT NICHOLAS CAGE! Maybe Chris Walken or Steven Hartley (The Bill)
WHATS YOUR CHOICES.

I don't think they should make a live action Batman Beyond. They should just keep trying to come out with animated ones. Return of the Joker was amazing and they still have more stories to tell and rules that would be fun to break("The Joker in the Batcave. It's just wrong." -Bruce Timm I think. Have to check again.) They never got to shed light on what happened to Dick Grayson. Selina Kyle? And then maybe even an adventure that's reserved for Terry and has nothing to do with Bruce's past. But since the series is off the air, even off Cartoon Network, it doesn't look likely either would happen.
As for casting a live action, I always figured Eastwood would be the best for the grizzled old Bruce Wayne.
As for Batman, I would want Freidle since he actually looks enough the role but he's getting too old. We need someone that we can believe as a high school student. So I really don't know.

Adam West as Bruce Wayne.
Will Friedle as Terry McGinnis.
These two, in my opinion, played their roles better than anyone else, and also, they look like the characters they're portraying. No one could ask for more.

Put some old man make-up on Kevin Conroy so he can play Bruce just before he gives up the mantle along with playing elderly Bruce.
I agree with Will Friedle as Terry McGinnis. I've also seen some photo-manips of one the actors from Roswell. Can't remember his name but he seems like a good choice also.

Yes... Adam West was much better than Kevin Conroy.
I mean, What!?

Bruce Wayne: Clint Eastwood (he looks the most like the role and pulls off old and mean very nicely)
Terry: I guess Will Friedle would work; but I think there's probably someone who'd do better
Dana: I saw this one fan creation, and they cast Kristin Kreuk, Lana from Smallville, as Dana. When I saw it, I thought, "Wow, she would work very nicely; heck, she's perfect.
Blight: I would say Christopher Walken, but he's already been in a Bat movie. But, then again, there pretty much isn't anyone else like that who can pull off a character like Blight like Walken.

Ooh. Never thought of Paul Newman. He would be awesome. He just looks like a veteran of the last 5 wars or something. Good thinking.
Freedom of speech dude. like Clint Eastwood and Ashton Kutcher were better choices??
mmmmmmmmmm... NO!

Freedom of speech? What do you think this is? America? No. This is the internet. Freedom of speech does not apply.

Dude! You can't say no to his opinion! He has freedom of freakin' speech!
Even if there were freedom of speech here(this is a private web site, not the U.S.), don't pretend like he's somehow supressing it. If you have the right to suggest Anthony Hopkins should be Burce Wayne, he has the right to disagree.
Freedom of speech doesn't mean protection from backlash of one's words.

Oh, and Clint Eastwood is a way better choice than Anthony Hopkins.
Hey, he rejected my choice so I just did the same. read more carefully next time. use those sharp little eyes of yours.

My sharp little eyes saw you use freedom of speech as your defense from backlash. Like I said, freedom of speech wont protect you from backlash. If anything it'll do the opposite. It gives people the right to backlash.
But freedom of speech doesn't exist on these boards anyway. I'm glad with how much we're allowed to say, though.

ok, I'm going to settle this argument once and for all: Clint Eastwood is the best choice for Old man Bruce. He can do dark and brooding very well. Anthony Hopkins doesn't look, sound, or anything like Bruce. So, problem solved.

I lean Búrzdúsh... Paul Newman is the best candidate for the role of an old Batman (though Clint Eastwood is not a bad idea either)

One little thing, as much as we would love big names like Eastwood, its unlikey. Heck, now even Batman Beyond happening itself seems unlikley now. But, as for a dream casting, yeah, Eastwood would be cool as old Bats. PLus Newman is a master too.

Eastwood and Newman are both good choices...I used to think Eastwood would have been the perfect Batman in a live action The Dark Knight Returns, but I reckon he's a bit old for that, now...
