I came up with the idea this morning.
Post your cast for Batman: Year One here. On the 1st June the people with the most votes become the cast that the majority of the C2F Bat-Board posters want for B:YO.
You can only vote once and you can't change that vote. ONLY USE CHARACTERS FROM THE YEAR ONE COMIC. OTHER CHARACTERS DO NOT COUNT IN THE VOTING PROCESS.

Mine:
Batman: Christian Bale
Gordon: Sam Neill
Comissioner Leob: George Dzundza.
Arnold Flass: Clancy Brown
Catwoman: Catherine Zeta Jones
Alfred Pennyworth: Anthony Hopkins
Barbara Gordon: Julianne Moore
Sarah Essen: Charlize Theron
Carmine Falcone: Al Pacino
Harvey Dent: David Boreanaz
Johnny Viti: Brad Garret

I think the way the character is portrayed is much more important than looks. Edward Noton is one of the best actors around. Michael Keaton didn't look the part but he turned out great because he could act.

and edward noron can adapt his body really well. did you see him in fight club or the score?

I think looks still are important. In a choice between Edward Norton and Christian Bale, I'd pick Christian Bale only because what it comes down to with them is looks.
Both are versitile actors. They take very different parts every time they're in a movie and they both do an impressive job at playing those parts.
Both do amazing things with their bodies to fit roles. Christian Bale was only slightly more ripped in American Psycho than Norton was in American History X.
I like Norton, but I'd opt for Bale. Simply based on looks.

Actor for Batman Year One... mmmm... Brad Pitt?

Ed Norton was airbrushed in American History X. He was buff, but not THAT buff. In American Psycho, however, that was ALL Christian Bale.

I really have to say this, i watched dark city again last night for the first time in 3 years and i ahve to say that i think rufuss sewel would make a good batman... that film really grabs me and he is so good in it. I am not sure what he looks like now but if he hasnt aged to much he would be geat for year one

thoughts?

and that also leaves the position of commishioner gordon for kiefer sutherland

Hmmm, I think an intersting young Batman (although possibly too young) would be Matt Damon. Personally I think Hair color isn't very important for keeping the realism of the character.

As much as I like Ed norton, I think he's too whiny to play Batman.

And besides, they could always dye it (although they never do that with redheads for some reason..I'm tired of seeing brown haired Jimmy Olsens!)

There is a new rumor on who the studio wants for Batman. This is Warner and I frightfully would not put it past them. Here: http://www.superherohype.com/cgi-bin/news/fullnews.cgi?newsid1056202774,30970,

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Aaaaah ha ha ha ha. lol. Ha ha ha ha.

It it wasn't so sad and pathetic it would be more funny.

Oh and actually, I don't think that rumor would be for Year One, but rather the Nolan one which I hope/wish was Year One. So for my Year One vote, I'd still say Bale. He looks young enough and I think he'd make a great Batman.
