Riddle me this, Who do you all think was the best actor to portray the Bat. Who do you think got him right on the money? Who do you think was close enough to pass as the Bat? Who?
It's just my opinion, but I loved Keaton as the Bat. He seemed most "Batish" to me.
Let me hear your opinions.

Adam "This is better than taffy, and I'm a man who loves his taffy." West.

Well, aside from the Mayor West...
I'd go with Kevin Conroy, the voice on the Batman animated series of teh 90s. He played the best Bamtan on the best adapation of the character. Sure, it wasn't live action, but I've seen him in pictures and films and he kinda loks teh part if you dye his hair black.
Next up, I'd say Kilmer. I rather liked his mousey Bruce Wayne. PLus his Batman wasn't bad.
Next I wanna say Adam West for nostalgia because I grew up watching that camp.
Then Kilmer and Clooney since they were almost more Adam West Batman than any other.

You have Kilmer twice Xenos. Did you mean Keaton as one of those.
I would have to say I liked Keatons Batman and Kilmer's Bruce Wayne.

I liked Keaton's Batman, Kilmer's Batman, Kilmer's Bruce Wayne, and Clooney's Bruce Wayne. If only Burton had managed to distill all of those into the 1989 film...

Yes, I do agree with that. Kilmer, while being a perfect Wayne, was too light to be Batman. And while Keaton was a perfect Batman, he was too dark to be Wayne.
I also believe that Kevin Conroy was the PERFECT voice for the Batman series. He truly brought the essense of Batman back to the small screen.

Easily Michael Keaton.
Followed closely by Clooney, who would have been perfect with the right script.

Clooney would have been good if they hadn't have given him that STUPID script.

Regardless of the script, Clooney's "head wagging" didn't help his cause.

Directors are also supposed to demand better or at least appropriate acting from the stars. Schumacher's a jackass.
My favorite in all is Conroy. Nobody could do a better voice. He IS Batman. I wish I still had cartoon net.
Favorite live action only is Keaton. He was even a good enough Wayne for me. If only that 'let's get nuts!' thing wasn't there. How uncharacteristic.
Speaking of which, the American Film Institute named their top 50 heroes and top 50 villains. Keaton's Batman was number 46 on the heroes list and Nicholson's Joker was 45 on the villains. Cool stuff. What do you all think?

It's no secret I dispise Shumacher's approach to the Bat series. He screwed it up. Isn't it so cool that the Bat and CLown made the top 50? So cool.

Funny how Atticus Finch was No.1 hero, along with some other unusual choices there which I'm sure would be pretty obscure to many people.

well i have to agree, from a strictly bat-fan perspective each one wasnt too good.
from a movie perspective the first two were very good but compared to the comics they sucked. each and everyone.

Well Val Kilmer had more dialoge and scenes to work with then Keaton did in both his runs as Batman.

I thought that Keaton did a good job regardless of the fact that he looked nothing like Batman. Short guy, round face. Not Bats. He had the eyebrows and the broodiness but I just couldn't get past the physical. Same with making the Joker short, fat and 50. Nicholson was amazing but it drove me nuts. I'd have to say Keaton first and then Kilmer just for his appearance.

Keaton. It's a shame he didn't do Batman Forever, and it's of course a bigger shame that anyone did Batman & Robin
