Well, Shirley, first we need to find out what's wrong with your shift or even Caps Lock Key. Then we can get talking proper. (Sorry for the sarcasm, Barbra, but I've been watching Scrubs with my roomate.)

Anyway, I just want them to get Ra's to look good. He should have multiple costumes as this is not a cartoon so characters don't have to wear the same thing every day fo their life. I mean Eliza Maza loking damn fine in jeans and that jacket, but she needs a wardrobe of more than one outfit.

Anyway, I'd hope they'd base at least one outfit on that degisn. I have always liked it. Plus I sure hope they keep his hair and beard. Even tried growing the beard myself, though I think I had them a bit too close and I also had a chinstap, so it didn't quite work as well.

I really liked Ken Watanabe in Last Samurai, so I am looking forward to his Ra's. I am very disapointed there is no Lazarus Pits and even more disapointed that I've heard nothing of Talia. Those are two great facets of the character. Yet I almost want to say I am willing to let that go if the movie brings a great Batman to the screen and had a decent Ra's depsite missing some things.

Two movies with Ra's and Talia would be overkill.

Unless, of course, Ra's becomes kind of like a Lex of sorts, pulling the strings on all of The Bats villains. Then, I could see it happening.

Naa, sounds too far-fetched. Ra's primary motive isnt getting rid of Batman, plus i dont really see Batty's villians as the types that can be manipulated...

Just a "what if"...
What if Neeson actually plays Ra's in the movie, but masquerades as "Ducard."
?
Really no basis for that whatsoever, except that Neeson looks a little like Ra's in the picture.

Liam as Ra's? No, I really don't think that's the case. That would be a complete waste of Ken Watanabe (an Oscar-nominated actor for THE LAST SAMURAI) and his considerable talent. Ken is Ra's al Ghul, Head of the League of Shadows. Liam is Henri Ducard, Ra's follower and Bruce's direct mentor.

Does anyone know if Ducard was linked to Ra's in the comics?

They're not linked. And Ducard has very similar facial hair to the Neeson photo in the comics (sort of a "biker" moustache), without looking the least like Ra's al Ghul.

I've been told this is Ra's in Batman Begins. It's different, and I love it! (http://www.sanspo.com/geino/top/gt200408/image/04080303kenMT203802.jpg)

Here's a smaller one (http://www.sanspo.com/geino/top/gt200408/image/04080303kenMT204802.jpg)

Did you see Miss Jellybean's picture in the Gallery? That was pretty darn good. I love that.

yeah, the gauntlets are used by Ducard and Wayne in the sword fighting on the ice too. all the ninjas wear them too. Wayne takes some home with him and sprays them, and uses them for his Batsuit.

Hey, when I'm off, I'm off. I can admit it. It was a shocker to me. Made a bit more sense as Neeson's role was so much larger than Watanabe's anyway. Still, Ken would have been a good "true" Ra's. But it didn't hurt the movie.

*pats head* We won't kick you out of the forum.... yet. ^_~
Anyways, I do beelive that that was the perfect way to handle Ra's immortality in the movie, for a more realistic approach.

Just thought of something odd. I was looking at a list of worst remakes and they listed The Haunting with Liam Neeson. I remember seeing that crappy movie (I remember liking the House on Haunted Hill remake MUCH better). I remember thinking that Neeson would make a cool Scarecrow. Oddly enough he ended up in a Batman movie with him.

Murphy was excellent as the character anyway as was Neeson as his.

I used to think that Gary Oldman would make an excellent Ra's Al Ghul....
Then he ended up in the movie...

I seem to remember that Neeson had been rumored for Scarecrow many years back. I think that was around the same time that Jeff Goldblum and Howard Stern's names were thrown about as candidates.
Just imagine what we almost had to sit through.
