I saw the new trailer last night when I watched Ocean's Twelve. Pretty cool, and the description out on it is accurate. I kinda wish you got to see characters other than Bale and Neeson though.

Do you see the suit itself in action??

A little bit. You see him making the suit and some bat-a-rangs. Then a little bit of fighting in the suit, dropping down from the ceiling in the suit, and hanging behind a bad guy.

Just got the trailer.
Liam Neeson looks good and acts like....Liam Neeson (but thats alright, its why he's cast). Bale looks good as Bruce and Batman....
...who looks incredibly cool. I like that theyve got him swinging properly (although i need the quicktime version, its a bit fuzzy).
The style looks great. Id like to see more action and hear more dialogue.
And, for a film with Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine and Gary Oldman (which is a great line up for a movie anyway)-they dont appear at all (neither does Cillian Murphy or Katie Holmes).
Its amazing how different this feels, it doesnt even look like a blockbuster movie, you really feel a sense of bruce waynes journey.
It focused on Ducard(!) and Bruce.
I reckon the next few directions may focus on Bruce/Bat and Alfred, Bat and Gordon, Bat and Crane/Scarecrow....not to mention a highly necessary Bruce and Batman one.
..and finally, the last shot is perfect, with a panicking fear-stricken thug screams 'Where are you?' only to step back gradually into, a hanging Batman, before his cloak smothers the thug and the screen together.
Bales Bat-Voice is hushed and ice cold when he says, his only word in the trailer, 'Here'-sounding really genuinely creepy. The fact that the thug actually gasps, poised to scream when he sees him fills me with a tremendous amount of confidence for this movie.

All I have to say is... AWESOME!
"I won't be just a memory."
i'm so so so expecting that june'05 will come soon!!! honestly, i saw the teaser trailer which i find darn intriguing, mysterious...and i actually like the way it is. and when i saw the new trailer..it's still darn good...but i really hope that the studio won't change any of it anymore. THE NEW TRAILER IS EXCELLENT !!! no more touch-ups...plzzz ! otherwise it would take out the mysteriousness of this new batman. and it should look dark. if they add more characters in that trailer, then it will look just like any action hero films, personally that's what i think. this batman films should set apart from any other superheroes' films as batman possesses the darkness incomparable to any other superheroes. and i'm super glad for the choices of actors...all of them, particularly the batman himself. i sense that bale's may b the best batman of all...his voice is just chilling, distant and deep. great actor! before bale...i think keaton pulled out batman best...w val and clooney there weren't enough darkness. they both seem too soft as bruce wayne, not sufficiently edgy and mysterious

I rather like this whole pre-Year One appraoch. Though we certainly see some Year One in there and some post year one. Can't wait to see Gordon. It's about time he saw some good screen time instead of being just a goofy charicature like all the over live films.
There is one twist which I do see coming through. Now this is just a guess, but if you don't want this idea nagging you when you see it, skip this paragraph. For some reason I keep thinking Ducard (Neesan) is actually Ra's and Watanabe is going to be presented to be Ra's, but is actulaly like Ubu. That would be quite interesting. I know Ducard is a separate character in the comics, but that would be something Ra's would do.

I keep watching it, i am very impressed. Bale will indeed be the definitive batman, he is a good actor and can carry the darkness and the arrogance of being batman and bruce. I see him employing a psychological change in bruce when he dons the suit-in an interview he said he feels more animal, as he aimed to be scary in the suit.
SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER
Ducard and Ra's are indeed the same character-its in line with Nolans 'real world' look, its a basic reasoning behind Ra's immortality-he isnt an immortal, he merely has a decoy/stand in-so HE never dies.
I would like to see Gordon and Alfred and maybe how Bruce acts on returning to Rutger Hauer in charge of Wayne Industries.
I also agree that the action element (which is all done for real-come on guys, how often does that happen?) should be a bonus.
They should not show too much Batman before the film comes out.
I just need June to swing by soon, this is almost worse than waiting for ROTK!!!!

I am waiting also in great anticipation for this new installment or should I say new "beginning" for the Batman films. I think Bale will be awesome, however I have doubts it will be nominated for any Academy Awards. It would have to be super good and normally Superhero films don't get nominated. I don't doubt however this will be the best batman film since the first.

See, now here is a big point.
I know that superhero movies arent really what academy goes for-although many members of the academy are more than happy to be involved or make their name in these films.
They dont wish to bestow awards on it, thats the nature of the beast. The same way all those small, independant films about suicidal, burn victims who are also single parents fighting corporations with only one leg, while also being gay...will never get anywhere in magazine polls, of MTV awards and the like.
Hollywood forgets that its blockbusters and hero movies that made the town in the first place....yes, i AM correct again, i'm afraid...

The trailer commercial during the Superbowl was great! I can't wait to see more, and am looking forward to June 17, a day after birthday present.
I loved that line about the Batmobile...
"But does it come in black?"

Just got a copy of the superbowl trailer.
Awesome, awesome, awesome - but over too quickly....
....any way i can get a 2hr version? or do i rreally have to wait!
I like Bales voiceover as bats, have always thought he would be great in the role, from years ago watching American Psycho and seeing Essex's early work showcasing him.
Best guy for the job. Good to see a little of Caine and Freeman being...well, Caine and Freeman (they HAVE made careers out of it). Caine is a legend, I dont know if i will be able to watch him as Alfred and sepearte him from the iconic status the man has-but i'm willing to try.
Batmobile looks great in action, i like the tone/colour palette/pace-i think the film will be incredible.
First look at the scarecrow-i like it, it works in the context of the film. First look at Katie-i shouldnt be in the presence of such great talent-Holmes, god i hope she doesnt prove to be the weak link in casting she inevitably WILL be...
Wanna see Gordon, wanna see more gotham, wanna see bats take someone down, wanna see the bloody MOVIE!!!!!

All I can say is... wow....
I'm impressed, as usual. Each preview seems to explore a new aspect of the movie. The first one tells why he became the bat. The seconds is how he becomes the Batman, the trialing and the equipment. This one now seems to be more his struggle and his allies, and glimse at his adversary.
I am VERY happy with the Scarecrow. He's not the Super Friends Scarecrow, I'll tell you that. They have made him realistic; they have made him real. And he is going to be damn frightening. June 17th cannot come sooner.

I'd just like to quickly add that he will appear even more creepy once Rachel Dawes gets a dose of the fear gas and then faces him.
I'm glad they took a character iconic for, and named after a costume and gave it a significantly un-costumey look.
I saw one of the artists sketches for how he'd do the Joker....too cool...for school.
The design had him dressed in a flamboyant Tyler Durden (Fight Club) way. As for the smile, they copied something a certain serial killer/psycho did (after all this IS what the Joker is, more so than any other of Bats adversaries) and he CUTS the sides of his mouth into a huge smile shape.
Freaky, stylish, makes sense, and it fits in with the whole 'message' of this new franchise-Batman can exist in the real world.

I cant wait for the new trailer....
(or some actual talk about the movie instead of following the ongoing (and if you read and analyse both sides of the argument-rather pointless) battle in this forum).
er..Batman rules...so will the movie...
(short and sweet-ahhh..)
