the new spider-man 2 trailer was just preimerd on the web and all i can say is HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!
all i can say is that if you liked spider-man 1 then you'll LOVE spider-man 2.
the only complaint i can see is that it looks like doc ock dosen't wear a shrit.
this had to be one of the best trailers i've seen for a comic adaptation.

Can the trailer actually be downloaded, or can it only be viewed online? I'd rather wait for a downloadable version so I can view it at my own leisure. Anyone have a link to a downloadable version?

That was fudge nutting sweet! that opening scene is flipping great. Though I did wanna smack Peter for not having better words, but he is a putz. anyway, what a great intro. Doc Ock looks great. can't wait for july.

I'm looking for a d/l one, but nothing yet... they got some werid flash video thing on their site there.

The trailer itself looks cool but...

...ugh! The presentation is awful!

They're using some king of Java based streaming. The image on my screen, even at the highest broadband speed is very small and the picture quality is terrible.

You have something like OCK scaling up the side of a building...that should be big and crisp and powerful, not reduced to some small, grainy, herky-jerky, Yahoo video stream.

Give me the quicktime.

My heart just about stopped when that car came crashing through the window!

And yeah, the presentation was lacking. Too small and the stop/start thing when I viewed it make it practically unwatchable.

bottleHeD, you've probably seen it by now but if not, it's on Yahoo's front page.

how much money do we think yahoo shelled out for exclusive rights to the teaser for x amount of time?

i've been trying to view the trailer for about an hour, so far i make it up to the car flying thru the window and then it lock up. oh well, i'll see it with return of the king.

Hey, I can tell you what happens next after the car comes through the window - Clint Eastwood gets out and starts shooting with his 44 Magnum, thinking that this car through a window thingy is a scene from "The Enforcer".

I guess it wasn't that much considering how friggin' small the display is. It's like 1/8 the size of my monitor screen. And like Robbo mentioned, the video stream isn't even entirely smooth.

As for the content of the trailer, well aside from my newfound hatred of Danny Elfman's music, I thought the trailer was pretty cool. Gotta love the homage to Clark Kent with the ripping of the shirt revealing the costume. I remember McFarlane doing that on his run as artist for Amazing Spider-Man. Also, Spider-Man's "spidey-sense" is by far the coolest adaptation from the comics. Much better than the flashing background of the 90's cartoon.

THAT was the trailer? Well, it was ok, definetely makes me wanna see the movie, but i think the image on the right, with Doc Ock's reflection in Spidey's eye-lens (visor, whatever) was much better..

It was alright...

I've tried to be nice about it, but Kirsten Dunst really needs to lay off on the Nyquil zombie performance with MJ.

Another complaint was just the absolute horrid shot when they're watching Doc Ock step forward. It was so flat... They looked like a couple of mannequins run over by a steamroller, laminated in a flat plastic sheet, and stood back up on end.

But Alfred Molina looks pretty cool as Ock. I think he and Tobey's performances should keep the second film as enjoyable as the first.

I have one question........ why is Peter wearing glasses?
That is the one thing that gets on my nerves.
Don't forget, one and all, this is the TEASER trailer.

LOL. Yeah I see what you're saying. I had similar thoughts when watching the teaser the first time. After wathcing it a few times it didn't seem to bother me as much, and I guess part of me was thinking that they might have done the scene specifically for a trailer and it might not end up in the movie.

i know what you're saying too. then again her kiss with Peter was interupted by a car smashing out the window and being shoved to teh ground. I think she has a little right ot be out of it.

This might or might not be a minor SPOILER, so read on at your own risk:
.
.
.
.
Regarding the stiff acting when they are talking, I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that they're practicing a scene for an acting job she's doing. Therefore, I seriously doubt they were kissing, rather she leaned forward a bit, said "Kiss me" and Pete (actually loving her) was focusing on her lips. Then BOOM!

**********POSSIBLE SPOILERS***********

Okay, that makes sense. I was thinking that she wanted to kiss Pete because she suspected that he may be Spider-Man after they kissed in the graveyard at the end of the first movie and she wanted to make sure. Unless Pete has really bad breath I don't see how she could make the connection just by kissing him so the idea of them rehearsing a play works better, me thinks.

BTW, Downloadable and Fullscreen Spidey 2 teasers available here (http://www.apple.com/trailers/sony_pictures/spider-man_2/), must have Quicktime...

Again with the SPOILERS!
.

That would also explain why they keep glanding down. I think it's just clever editing on someone's part.
.
Anyways, I think it could be a combo of both of our ideas, norrin. Maybe they are rehersing, but she's really wanting that kiss. Pete wants to kiss her too, but the script tells him otherwise. Maybe it's a good thing Ock busts in, to cease Pete's mental anguish.

Ok all this is great and all...yes the trailer EVENTUALLY looks great. Good tension and everything with the car crashing through. They had exactly what I was looking for. The part with DOc Ock walking on the arms...EXCELLENT. I'm so glad that they didn't have the tubby one in there..lol. THey did a nice updated job on the BOWL haircut too..lol. TH ONLY THING that pissed me off though. I'm not sure if anyone else paid attention to it. WHERE THE HELL IS THE ACCENT? They had Doc Ock speak and it was just plain ol' english. Maybe I'm being a lil anal rententive here but those lil touches are what make a good comic book movie GREAT. Still looks good
though.
..........SPOILER ALERT.........

Another cool portion was seeing John Jameson. So we all know what's coming soon VENOM!! John's home so we all know his lil stowaway can't be far behind. I see something at the end of the movie where we'll get a taste of Venom. OK my rant is done 'NUF SAID and STAY FROSTY

I noticed that too. Both me and my mom were... perturbed with the fact that he didn't have his accent. The man is supposed to be either German or Russian (sry, I can't remember), but he don't his accent. *is sad*

Hmmm, I've read just about every Doc Ock story ever published and I don't recall it ever stated that he spoke with an accent (unless that happened in the 90s cartoon or something). His ancestry may be Russian (like Kraven) or German but from all accounts Otto Octavius was born and raised in the US.

As for Venom, Raimi has publicly stated that he has no intention of using either him or Carnage, so the appearance of John Jameson is either a red herring or Raimi is planning on introducing Venom and is just being coy about it...

LOL. That's funny. She's the one who introduced me to comics. She has a larger collection of comics than I do...
