Will there be a second season of MTV's Spiderman animated series?

According to the Spider-Man vol. 1 DVD I got, there should be one sometime after Spider-Man 2 comes out in theaters. Or they could pull a "Silver Surfer" on us and cancel the show and not tell anyone because of lack of funding, but, I doubt that.
