Just wanted to apologise to DZ for my spoilers... it's hard to think straight after seeing such an awesome movie... i'm still reeling after 2 days...

But seriously if you haven't seen it by now... what's wrong with you? SEE IT NOW!

Maybe if I was the Prof I could make everyone go to the theater and watch it http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/smile.gif

I couldn't agree more, those who haven't seen it yet deserve to be spoiled.

Anyways, your post didn't contain anything extremely spoilerish, I just want to be wary since people may come in here not expecting spoilers.

I vote for a sudden and complete non-sequiter!

I'm tired. I had an unexpectedly emotional evening tonight. Just one odd emotional thing right after another all night. So now I just feel tired and lonely. But not really lonely for other people, per say. Does that make any sense at all?

I better stop typing now

Hope you feel better WWG.

And, yeah, I understand being lonely, but not for other people. Happens to me sometimes. You kinda get a loner and lonely feeling at the same time. At least I do.

I am assuming you are thinking of the title "Everybody's Got Something to Hide Except for Me and My Monkey"

The lyrics actually come from things they heard while in India with the Maharishi Yogi learning meditation. John Lennon added the Monkey part. Lennon was renowned for his jibberish lyrics. Just listen to "I am the Walrus" or "Come Together" and you'll hear how he puts odd phrases together.

An interesting question. Did this inspire the later use of the mork monkey for... well... you know...?

Friday - work 10:30 - 5:00
Saturday - Obedience class 9:00-10:45, visiting my grandmother (helping her get groceries and do laundry) 11:00-1:30, work 3-8
Sunday - Work 10-5
Monday (today) - Work 10-5
Tomorrow - My birthday, all day. Cleaning, running errands, having friends over for dinner
Wednesday - Seeing X2 finally? Possibly getting part 1 of the measles vaccine.

My schedule has been beyond crazy. Did I mention that I spent 3 hours Thursday making soaps shaped like fortune cookies?

Very possible... he did write it about his developing relationship with her... the original title was "Come On, Come On".

This is from the book "A Hard Day's Write" by Steve Turner. It talks about the writing of each of the Beatles songs. I also have "We All Shine On" by Paul Du Noyer which does the same for Lennon's solo career. I'm a self-proclaimed Beatlemaniac by the way... have every album on CD, numerous books, most of my T-Shirts are Beatles, and I just got the Anthology DVD set http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/smile.gif

I can't do the "movie trailer" announcer voice or the "sitcom rerun channel" announcer voice, but I'm good at the "creepy warning" voice. You know, things like, "Do to the graphic nature of this program, viewer discretion is advised."

Um... Yeah.
So, no UIR from me tonight, or perhaps for a few days. I need to sort out some emotional stuff on my end, for the very simple fact that I discovered late Tuesday afternoon that my maternal grandmother is in the first stages of congestive heart failure. She might not make it to the end of the month, if my mom's information is accurate.

In good news, my cat has a new box to play in, thanks to Amazon.com. Yay for cats in boxes pretending to be mighty savannah beasts.

I got the second and third seasons of Buffy on DVD for my birthday from my boyfriend! I also got a B&N giftcard from my friend Emily's boyfriend Mike, Amphigory and a pair of Chinese medicine/stress balls from Emily herself and a figure of a fairy from my friend Marci that she painted herself. My friends rock.

They each got an adorable plush monkey with a Chinese carryout container styled box with 2 hand-made (by me) glycerine soaps shaped like fortune cookies and some chocolate covered caramels. I made dinner for all 5 of us, pasta shells florentine (because Mike's a veggie and everyone loves Italian). And we had cake and saw Identity. But Mike and Marci skipped the movie because they had work early this morning. Hopefully sometime this week or next week we can find time to make an appointment to all get tattooed.

And Thursday (that's tomorrow) I'm FINALLY gonna get to see X2. Pictures of my cake and party favors will be posted on my website at my earliest convenience (maybe later today). PS - I love Ashley's piercing! I thought (very breifly) about getting a surface piercing done on my chest, but it seemed too...much like something that would make my parents kick me out of the house. I do occasionally feel the desire to get something other than my ears pierced. But I think I'll try the ink first.

Another useless update on the boring life of WX...

Saw X2 twice opening weekend. Yeah, that's right, I hated it so much I had to see it twice. http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/wink.gif I joke. Truth is, it RAWKD!!! http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/wolvie.gif

Finally saw Desperado the whole way through. Fun movie. I'd love to see all that gunfight footage Rodriguez had to cut from the ending.

This weekend, I may FINALLY get to see Cowboy Bebop: Knockin' on Heaven's Door (I refuse to simply call it "The Movie") on the big screen before it hits DVD June 24th. There's a theater over in Madison that's playing it, and if they've still got through next week, me and my best friend are gonna take a little road trip.

Ah, the things I do for my geekhood. http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/supercool.gif

It is. The # displayed on the main page is the number of REPLIES. So it's the number of total posts minus 1, the first one, which was a new post and not a reply.

In other news...I think I'm going to scream. I don't know how much more of this I can take. My friend lies. SHE LIES!

Maybe you should tell her an even bigger lie every time she does it. That way, if she tries to catch you in a lie it'll open up a way for you to tell her how you feel about her lying. That's not confusing is it?
