Frankly, I'm disappointed. No confetti fell from the ceiling, no balloons materialized, not a single male stripper dressed like cop busted in...and there's no liquor to speak of.
And nobody kissed me at the stroke of No Topic #100.

sadly, by the time I was technically able to go to bars and actually legally buy the stuff, I was much less interested in it.
Namely because I was married to a rather puritanical type and we were more interested in spending what little money we had on food, rather than booze.
But I saw something cool at the grocery store! it's like this wine mix in a bottle and you mix it in a blender with ice and you get an alcoholic slushy! And they had strawberry daquiri! gotta get me somma that.

Yeah I have always wondered about that guy too, why would he dress that way with all the star wars people around maybe he was there just like spock just to piss em off. I have that episode on tape some where I think i m going to have to dig it out.

I guess if you want to truley compare with Y2K it would be like NT:C, but that's a roman numeral C for 100... k is of course for 1000 in binary where a Kilobyte is 1000 bytes and a k is a kilobye as in 1024 bytes or 2^32 bytes... and a byte is 8 bits... and a bit is binary... either a 1(on, true) or 0(off, false)...
Similarly there's megabyte and Megabyte...
In Binary No Topic 100 is No Topic 1100100
in Hex it is No Topic 64... so if we switched to Kex we could have had more double digit no topics, but some would include the letters a-f as that is how hex (bas 16) is established... 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,a,b,c,d,e,f that's 0-15 (the first 16 numbers in hexadecimal)
In Octal (base 8) No Topic 100 would be No Topic 144.

But without binary, this website, as well as your computer would not exist, because computer memory functions because of 1's and 0's to store data. Heck, every pic in the DCG is stored with 1's and 0's so... every contributer just uploads a file full of 1's and 0's... some of the artists just happen to be awesome at properly inputing those 1's and 0's.

I wasn't born in Texas, but I got here as quick as I could! I was born in New York... talk about extremes... Yankee to Texan at the tender age of 4...
Incidentally, the first soil I touched was Texas soil. My Grandma sent a box of Texas soil to New York and so I touched that before New York soil... so maybe I'm more Texan after all.
