Hey guys! I don't poke my head in here much, but opportunity is knocking for one of you!

If you've listened to me rant in the movie column at all, or ready my X2 review, you'd know that I have a website of my own running... a movie review website called Smart-Popcorn.com.

What you do not know is that I'm starting a comic strip to be featured on the site called "The Marquee". It's about a movie theatre, The Marquee, and its various employees and patrons. With sarcastic wit, it will cover all sorts of movie-related issues, from fanboys camping outside to the ridiculous prices of snacks, to the movie stars, directors, and big films themselves.

Some characters include new employee "Marquee" Mark, "Head Usher" Raymond, a crazy guy named Gavin, a manager with an unpronouncable last name... and more to come.

I'll be doing the bulk of the writing (though would gladly share those chores if anybody wishes to try their hand) but I need someone to take care of the art. It wouldn't be very labor-intensive... Since it'd always take place at the same location and most of the characters have uniforms, we could recycle a lot of sprites and backgrounds.

Would anybody be interested? Talk about it in here or e-mail me at thom@asu.edu. Thanks for your consideration! http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/smile.gif
