And now, my first full UIR in some time. You know, I've got a pic in the hopper... I wonder when it'll show? Hmmm...
Darkchylde by loserkid292:
Honestly, the thing that sticks out most about this to me is not the pixelized edges, or the straight cut-n-paste... it's the fact you didn't get rid of the white space between her legs and replace it with the same black you've got in the rest of the background. It's a good start, but little inconsistencies like that remove from it.
BTAS Tribute: Joker by joker21:
That's the spirit! http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/smile.gif I'll make sure you guys get pictures of me in my Purple Zoot Suit at the coming convention... (Nice pic, if a bit painty, btw)
Comic Concept: Mcteddy, Adventures in IRC World by localhero:
Aww. Cute! Nice concept!
The Runt's Wrath by Spiderman620815:
Cool. His left hand kinda looks like it's only got three fingers, though...
Hellfire Magik by FLYIN' RYAN:
No art notes, Ryan? *frown* Great picture, mind... I love her eyes (just love them!) it's just... just... no notes? http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/frown.gif
a mans view of pms page 4 by avgs:
Ermmm... I'm a man. That's not my view of PMS (I've been fortunate that all the women I've been directly involved with haven't had it like that, I suppose). I missed the other pages in this series, I guess.
SnEaKy by jazzler46:
Oooh. Nifty! Very nice! Subtle, even!
The Joker by Wibbly:
*chuckle* *giggle* *Laugh* *CACKLE* Ahem. Sorry. Just practicing. http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/smile.gif The more I see Joker pictures, lately, the odder I get. Love it. http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/smile.gif
And now to cut this in half because the server doesn't like it too long...

Second half of the UIR, the Avengers are up five points, but the X-Men have just brought Jamie Madrox out to pitch.. and outfield... and infield... and umpire...
hellboy by helljoel:
Nifty. Not sure precisely what you did with it (because I haven't seen the official poster), but nifty.
teaser2 by Kombat Wombat:
Hmmm. Looks promising. http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/smile.gif
Colored Bat by Cinnder:
NICE color job.
Quicksilver by Fearilla:
Yeah, that's Pietro's attitude, all right. You did that with a Tablet? I salute you, sir.
Gen 13 in Japan by Chicoceniza:
Not really a fan of CG recolors, I'm afraid. Good concept, but... just not up on them much, I'm afraid.
Elementals by devilbunny:
Said before, say again: Lovely. Absolutely lovely. You make a beautiful fire. http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/smile.gif What are those flowers behind you? That ripple effect is very subtle, and I almost didn't notice it the first time I saw the picture. And, as you know, I dig the wireframe shapes (they do remind me of dice, all in all). Is water based on one of your pictures, or another model?
Brooke Adams on the prowl by Darth_zaiyen:
'scuse me while I pick my jaw up. Damn, Zac. I mean. Just. Damn. Nice work. I gotta ask, though, is she REALLY that thin? If so, I pray Sam Raimi feeds her before filming...
And, since I gotta be up at 4am, it's off to bed for me!

Again not much time, Zac's work is great. I'd darken the collar fur (shadow from the hair), and distress the cuffs a little more
The joker pict too! Tho the body is too static compared with the energyof the face.
The QUicksilver pict is really nice. It's something you'd see at teh back of a TPB as a character study. A bit more of the right iris would benice http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/wink.gif Awesome expression tho.
The bat pict is cool too.

Hellfire Magik: It’s good how so much seems to be going on in the picture, nice attention for detail. The sword handle looks too cartoony and unrealistic, so does the skirt. The leg area looks a little un-tidy in places too.
SnEaKy: I like the idea behind this. I didn’t notice the Lady Deathstrike hand immediately; it took me awhile to see that. Obviously the first thing that stands out is the yellow eyes. I think the eyes look a little too… ‘froggy’, they bulge to much, and maybe they need more detail. Pretty good job at putting the characters together though.
Elementals: This looks really good, and it’s your first manipulation wow. Looks like a more extreme version of The Craft, I like it. You make a good fire too =D
Brooke Adams on the prowl: There’s something I don’t like about this picture and I cant really put my finger on one thing. I think it looks untidy in places and the costume needs more work maybe, especially the mask. The typography looks kinda cool, although I don’t think mixing fonts is a good thing to do. Not one of your best…
Darth, I like the Brooke Adams Black Cat picture. It looks a cool concept (and not unlike something I'd do) and she definitely looks sexy in that particular picture. I have one question though, and it's not really to do with you. I looked up Brooke Adams on Google and it says she was born on 8 Feb 1949! Now doesn't it make her rather too old to be playing Felicia Hardy? I know she's meant to have almost white hair (well, platinum blonde) but she's old enough to be Peter's mother. And she doesn't seem to look in that good condition either (ie she doesn't look as if she could pass for a teenager/ young woman in her 20s). I'm sure I've seen her playing somewhere else too. What is Sam Raimi thinking?

It's a different Brooke Adams. IMDB has them confused, sadly. http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/smile.gif

darkchylde: sloppy edges. alot of pixeltion. you might want to clean up the edges in the future. at least match up the background of the image with the white patch between her legs.
btas tribute: 15 minutes? it shows. it looks like he ate a burget with too much ketchup.
mcteddy adventures: what a cute little bear. nice laptop creation. simple and no complaints.
the runt's wrath: more natural pose. nice lines, good sense of muscle structure. no complaints.
hellfire magik: nice concept, it just seems a little sloppy in spots. the right arm is a bit painty. what is that on her upper thighs, chainmail? sorry just can't tell. nice horns.
a mans view: ok story over. work seems fine. the lines are fine. the going away shot...the girls legs and feet seem a little small. your a braver man than i to tackle a topic like this one.
sneaky: great concept. maybe blend the eyes a little, right now they seem to be popping out. nice claws on the hand.
joker: great coloring in photoshop. nice inking and overall design. no complaints, the colors are rich and very well done.
hellboy: simple. i wonder how they are going to promote this film, hard to use perlman's name as a main draw, i would think. still very simple and effective.
superman teaser: i would like to see these bigger, but i understand you've already done them. that lens flare seems wrong. i would go with a ray of light effect and i think your results would look better.
colored bat: nice color job. looks good to me, no complaints.
quicksilver: wow! looks real good, seems a little dememnted for quicksilver, but to be honest i haven't picked up a comic in so long i'm not sure where his character is at nowadays. nice work.
gen 13: hey your back. did you do the costumes? the hair on ayame (i think that's her name, anyway the girl on my right) seems a tad to sudden. the color change just happens, maybe a little more subtle.
elementals: jeez, first photo manip. your first is better than my last or my best. nice layout, interesting backgound and elements that compose it. no complaints. are your trying to maybe incorporate the element into the person, ie fire is a little firey, wind is kind of airy and see through?
brooke adams: why can't anyone this good looking be looking through my windows? hard to see the costume due to the glazing on the glass, however what i can see is looking good. nice backdrop, mask is well done, good window. all in all great piece.

Isn't there some equity rule against this that no two actors/ actresses can share the same name? Otherwise we'd have had 2 Michael Douglases by now, one married to Zeta Jones, and the other a former Batman.

I think Michael Keaton changed his name just so not to be confused with Mr. Douglas. How weird would it of been if you only heard that Michael Douglas was playing Batman? For some reason, I can't see that.

The Screen Actors Guild probably refuses to give a card to an actor with the same name as someone else. Maybe that's why she changed her name to Brooke Allison.
Why she's back to Adams now, I don't know. Maybe the older Brooke Adams has let her membership lapse and so her name is available again.
BTW: Awesome pic, Zac.

Well, it's still confusing if she goes by Brooke Adams. Searches on google yield some woman in her 50s whom I think might've played Phoebe Cates's mother in some mini-series called "Lace", not some young blonde chick. Has young Brooke gone by Brooke Allison for some time?

OK, I've done a search for Brooke Allison on google now, and what do you know, it turns out she's the opposite extreme! Instead of being a woman in her 50s, she seems to be only 14 years old (although she looks pretty good and could pass for 18). She also seems to be a singer too, but I've never heard any of her stuff. Isn't she now too young to play Felicia Hardy? And it can't be yet another Brooke Adams/Allison, because it says she was born Brooke Allison Adams so how much closer can you get?

I believe she's actually 16 years old and will soon be turning 17. It is true, however, that she looks much older. In the movies, true age means nothing. It's how old you LOOK.
