I agree that Carrey could make a good Joker, if he played it as written and didn’t go off somewhere else. Art wise, the whiting is nicely done (and always difficult to get right), but more could’ve been done for the costume, colour wise. Sure, he’s in Harley’s hat, but why not his traditional purple suit and orange shirt?

I really like what you’ve done with the costume here- in keeping with the movie style and Emma’s own exhibitionism. The “power” is nice, albeit a little hokey, and the background- you made that from scratch? Cool. Not too keen on the casting, having caught her “acting” on brookie once, but she certainly… ahem… “fills the part”.

I rally like the layout- the fact that we can’t make out the figures fully is great as a teaser- maybe the logos are a little superfluous to this, but that’s just me. The font is a little off, but I’ll forgive you cos I know you can’t always get the font you want.

Iron Man teaser by Tokyo_Bastard

Maybe a little too much on show here for a teaser. That said, the costume is very well rendered and put together, to the extent that the reflections kinda match up! Nice.

Cher or Circe? Redone by Captain Wonder

I have to disagree with the casting (although, if ever there was a woman who never seems to age…), and it’s not really clear what she’s doing- to me, she kinda looks like she’s pole-dancing on a giant spoon. Still, I can see how you inspired by a decently apt base pic, although I doubt that any other pic of Cher would work as well.

That pose… ow. All I can say. Actually, I can say a little more. Nice pose, nice colouring, ice layout, but I think the “SA” on her shirt kinda brings it down a level; it’s a little unnecessary, really.

She’s blue. With red hair. You say this is a “twist” than the usual Mystique. I don’t wanna sound rude, but I see nothing unique here.

Interesting… a character dressed in military duds who can change gender. You know, I think this actually happened. The layout and shadowing is cool, but the real-face-with-poser-body never works for me.

Harley Quinn by Maxprix

This I like. It’s simple, effective, looks pretty realistic and we know the casting works! I like the re-colouring, and most of the changes are seamless. Great job.

(side note: we’ve only just got Birds of Prey over here, and I’m really enjoying it)

There’s just something about poser that doesn’t sit well with me, so my opinion is a little biased here. I just think poser images look a little too fake. However, I praise you for actually giving her the look of someone born and raised near Greece- this is always something sadly forgotten by many (including myself).

I know of the character, but don’t really know the character, so my review here is solely art based. You certainly seem to have her look down well, in the good ol’ Kev-Marcelo-Marrow airbrush style. Next time, try and push yourself further- try and recreate the pose as well as the costume. Fine job, keep pushing yerself.

Well, she’s a cutie. But I don’t think the look quite fits the character. What I mean is White Queen has always been more out there sexy, not the innocent girl gone bad look. However on the art side I will say I like what you’ve done. Good detail on the outfit.

The blinding flashes of light and the lenzflare thing are really becoming annoying to me… Also I never liked Nicolas Cage cast as Superman, so my opinion on this piece is way to bias to give a good crit. No offence meant to the artist, I know a lot of work went into it.

I like the armor, but I’m not to sure about the font and logo. You might also have done something like impact bold font with tight spacing covering the entire image of the armor and then make a selection out of the text. On a new layer, fill with black and delete the text selection so he shows through his own name in sections. Just an idea, but it might have made more of a teaser look.

Very well done indeed. I liked everything, and thought you were being overly picky of your own work regarding the diamonds on her suspenders. Where I am we don’t get Birds of Prey anymore, it was a pretty good show to, wish I could see it again.

I’ve never thought they used this character to her full potential in the comics, they touched on it in the extreme series, but then killed her off. I like her a lot too. Good work on the costume. Her hair should be tinged in purple though, and for this look you might also have gone with the red glowing butterfly effect around her eyes just for fun. Overall great work though.

Yeah I had a very nice UIR too until one of Bill Gates' window demons devoured it. I sucked. But then I remembered that I won't have to go to school for over two months and I became happy again. And wrote another UIR.

Looks good. I agree with PK, though, that his suit should be his usual lurid colours. Love the skin tone. It doesn't just look desaturated, but bleached. There's a bit of a blurr on his fingers though. Maybe manip the shadow in his glasses, too? Give it a huge billowing cloak and some bat ears, just to add a little spice to the picture? Nice work.

Nice work on the costume. You got a believable white! Go you! I also like the piping and the logo. I could definately see Emma wearing this in the movie. I don't know about the casting though. The lady looks awfully sweet and smily. Why are her hands such a strange colour? Did you manip them on from somewhere? I like the background. The colours are nice an understated. Good job!

I'm amazed this picture hasn't died from an overdose of Filter... Repeat after me: "Filters is the debble! I invented electricity!" I really like the layout, but I think the logos should be less solid and stuck in the back somewhere. After all, this is just a teaser.

Pretty cool, though I don't think it's very teaser-ish. Try a different font with a different colour. The red is rather over-powering. And maybe run a small blending tool along the edge of the text to get rid of the pixellation. And why, for the love of Photoshop, is there a horrible orange glow on his shoulder? Repeat after me: "Filters is the debble! I invented electricity!"

Hmmm, the colours are a lot nicer in this one. And you're putting some elements in the background that are giving me some idea of the character. I'd suggest you start with a better base pic next time, or else learn how to increase the size and clean them up.

Nice work! I really like the frankensteining job. It's a nice touch that her hand overlaps her foot. Her hair is a bit choppy, but you knew that already. Maybe try making the logo look a little more 3D? It's a bit flat at the moment. A couple of seams along the edges would really lift it out.

You've got some great colours, apart from one thing... Some of your colours are bleeding, and you've missed part of the hairline in the colour change. Try using a better masking technique, with less of a feather. What programme are you using? We might be able to help with the resizing issues. This isn't bad, but for some reason, it just looks a bit ... unfinished.

I really love the background. I'm going to steal that technique from you. *makes like a bandit and bags the background* I like the piping on the suit, though I think you could take the saturation on the suit layer down just a little bit. It's kinda bright. And does he change sexes because of the cycle of the moon, or can he control it? If so, I guess he always skips PMS week, huh. Typical!

Aghem. I just knew PK would say something about this. I'm going to ignore your choice of base pic, and focus just on the bits you've added. Your costuming is really neat, but the actual fabric needs more depth. Try using the dodge and burn tools. Also, there's a slightly green tinge to the highlights. Did you just recolour her skin directly? This needs a few wrinkles, though, I think. Good work, but I think you need to switch to swimsuit models, who often have more tasteful poses.

Love the shading on the black of the suit. It's a good costuming job all around, but I think the suit needs a few wrinkles and folds. Also, what about the rose and chain on her arms?
