Gee whiz. I just woke up from a scary ass dream. I was thinking about the fact that I havent had a really bad dream in ages yesterday.

I can only remember the end. We were in thia old victorian house that I know, and I was old about this curse. One of the women that was there went a little crazy but we calmed her down. Just then we all looked at the mirror and it shattered. That started her off again and everyone ran out. Then she was sort of possessed and attacked me.

I'm having trouble looking in my mirror right now. http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/frown.gif

In my defense i was only a ickle boy...

At the time it was made I don't think the market was really there for a grown up full blood and gore animated film. Heck they even water down stuff still these days to make PG13.. which is why I DON'T wanna see venom or especially carnage in a Spiderman movie.. the characters would just be diluted too much.. but thats a topic for another forum..

And for that matter, why does Tarzan wear a loincloth? If he was raised by apes, he follows ape culture, and apes don't wear loincloths!

Not that I want to see Tarzan completely naked or anything..

Hey WWG, don't you live in Texas? How's it going down there with the Hurricane? </B><HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

It's crazy! It's all thundering and raining super hard, but it's the wind that's really scary!

Of course, I've been avoiding the news because I don't want to see what damage has been done or lives lost http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/frown.gif I just check the weather site.

The saddest thing when we had the flooding last year was the animals. They report on livestock drowning in Texas because, you guessed it, it's a big part of the economy. And sometimes they showed pics from helicopters of the animals in their last moments. I wanted to scream DON'T FILM IT! DO SOMETHING!

And there was a ecological wetlands sanctuary near my house that was totally wiped out by a giant wall of water. I hate to think of how many died there...

SO I hope nothing like that happens this time!

But now I better sign off the computer because here comes the lightening and ever since I got that metal put in my leg I'm scared of being a human lightening rod to electricity jumping out of appliances...

the microwave even menaces me now. And the toaster mocks me!

Back! and no lightening disasters.

I've lived in San Antonio my whole life, so I know it like the back of my hand. Right now I live 40 miles north of San Antonio (still closer to SA than Austin, tho I've visited Austin quite a bit. It's a cool town!) but since I live in the middle of nowhere, I still go to SA for nearly everything.

I like living here well enough but I'd like to explore the world a bit more...maybe someplace COLD. With SNOW. Yes....I would love that.

Glad to hear you're doing okay. And take it from someone who served time...er...spent time in Alaska for 3 years. It's a damn nice place to visit, but you don't want to live there. The summers are great though, especially when its sunny. Perfect time for people who hardly sleep like me because it stays light outside almost 24 hours a day.

Well... you also gotta through Tomb Raider 2 into the mix...

I'd think TR2 would eat into BB2's audience more than Seabiscuit... then you also gotta through in Sky Kids 3D for the kiddos...

But Seabiscuit is based on a best-selling book, so it has that going for it... it may be an interesting weekend

Tomb Raider also certainly has a far wider audience than SeaBiscuit, plus has much bigger buzz.

I know which one I'll be seeing http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/wink.gif Let's see...a red-haired Tobey Maguire as a jockey....or Angelina Jolie in numerous tight-fitting outfits while kicking ass and travelling the world....yah, that's a toughie...Aside from that, I also get bored to tears every time I see a SeaBiscuit trailer. I just don;t see how the story is even remotely interesting...

Yeah, I think a lot of Jolie fans will turn out to see her. I hated the first film but everytime I see a commercial where she smiles and turns on that British accent it just drives me nuts.

Even though Tomb Raider may be getting bigger buzz, I think Seabiscuit is getting better buzz. I kind of want to go see it because Tobey is one of the few young actors I actually like in movies today, but the film itself looks like a Hoosiers wannabe. And I never liked Hoosiers.

Oh yeah, I wanted to mention to people who may not have seen the first Bad Boys film that it is airing on the WB tonight(I think). DON'T WATCH IT! It'll be watered down dribble! Rent the first one if you haven't seen it before. Martin and Will use the "F-word" more than cast of Goodfellas, not to mention those other colorful words.

nothing really matches up with BB2 this weekend. look for LXG to take a near 50% drop, Pirates will stay strong, only dropping about 30% or so i say. Johnny English opens, but lets be realistic....its not going to do to well. How to Deal comes out, but it's a total different audience, it will cut into Pirates more than BB2. BB2 has an advantage with it's theater count, high profile stars, and big budget directors.

I got to see a sneek peek of BB2, and i was totally surprised. Great action and comedy. it notches up the blood and guts a lot more than the original, but this is obviously a blockbuster in my opinion. Really, alot of funny moments and some great action. I'm betting at least a $50 million dollar weekend, i wouldn't be surprised if it did a little above $60 million, they should have opened this up on the 4th, it would've killed T3. If you go see BB2, get some popcorn and go to the bathroom, it's 2hours and 15minutes.

As far as Seabiscuit, Spy Kids, and Tomb Raider go it's hard to say on any of those.

Seabiscuit has great buzz for becoming a nominated flick, also Tobey is getting good buzz. But does that translate into box office money, not guaranteed. I think it will be a steady money maker, but nothing special. I don't think your going to get the younger audiences to see this one.

Spy Kids, who the hell knows. Nemo is the big family movie for the summer. Spy Kids surprised me when it came out, so they are a wild card. i think the 3d thing will hurt it, it will limit it's theater count.

Then there is Tomb Raider. The first one sucked, this one doesn't look much better. yeah it's got Angelina Jolie, but she doesn't have the pulling power of a Sandra Bullock or Julia Roberts. I would not be surprised if BB2 stays #1 for two weeks and edges out TR2 for the top spot for the weekend of the 25th.

well thats my opinion and thoughts on the box office for the next few weeks. hey, i'm in a no topic, this feels weird.

I've never thought about that before. Aside from her being a villain, they would make the perfect couple.

Speaking of Poison Ivy's sexual advances, why would she give Harley Quinn a vaccine for the poison in her lips unless she planned on making out with her? Combine that with that fact that in the series finale of Birds of Prey that Harley hugged Helena for way too long and said "this is every bit as satisfying for you as it is for me", and I think I have a theory on Harley and Ivy being lesbian lovers.

And by the way, Swamp Thing's married.
