Hey does anyone know where I can get some decent pics of women in martial arts type poses? It's for a manip I'm working on.

I tried looking for some last year and couldn't find any good ones. The best pics I could find of females fighting each other were topless wrestling and naked swordfighting.

Thanks guys. I've done searches on Kathy Long, Cynthia Rothrock, Michelle Yeoh, Anita Mui, Graciella Callsias, Sophia Crawford, Karen Shepard and even the non Martial Artist Zhang Ziyi.
Kathy Long is great, I have a book by her (no big pics sadly) and actually there is poster of her that would PERFECT as she's even holding a bo (and the character in the manip is holding a long weapon called a naginata) but the stupid poster has been discontinued!
I tried recreating the pose in poser but it just looks sucky.

have you tried screen capturing from a dvd? software like powerdvd will do this for you....i'm working on a dark knight returns pic of batman looming over a beaten superman....i used powerdvd for the base images and poses.

That's a good idea. I need to look into that, it would really come in handy for getting unique background pics too.
For now I've looked through all the Martial Arts magazines in this house, and covered what feels like the whole damn internet. I might have to give up on this angle for now. Maybe I can take a picture of myself in the right pose! I was planning to take a pic of me for one of the other chics in this manip anyways.
Problem solved! sorta! 'cause I don't have a digital camera and I hadn't figured out how I was going to take the other pic of me....

Just wondered about DVD captures of martial arts women. Are they generally in martial arts suits or are they dressed in such a way as to make photomanipulation easy? I can't imagine the clothing from Crouching Tiger would be easy to manipulate over without some effort.

Yeah, that's a big problem because women in most traditional uniforms (kung fu, tai chi, even karate) are not form fitting and would be hard to manip over.
Also, in movies, 'real' martial artists like Cynthia Rothrock wear a ridicoulous amount of bulky clothing, like jackets, etc. They do this to hide padding on their shins, forearms, etc since the fight scenes are pretty hardcore.
Sometimes tho on video covers they are wearing really tight clothes and striking cool poses. Hmm, I'll try video/DVD covers!
The best solution to all my maniping woes is going to be to just buy a digital camera and take my own pics. I'm looking on ebay but I want to make sure I get one that takes large enough photos for me to work with. Also, must be cheap!

What about searching for women's Kick boxing pictures? They traditionally don't wear a great deal of clothing, just the shorts and t-shirt, and possibly boxing gloves. And often the shorts and t-shirt are quite tight fitting. I suppose you could try typing "nude women martial artists" to see what kind of results you get on Google, but I've personally never searched for martial artists myself before. Are you actually do a martial arts picture or do you just think that type of pose might be suitable?

Yes, Boxing chics are usually wearing pretty good clothes, but aside from kicks in kickboxers, nothing about their poses look martial arts like. They do have some nude chic fighting sites but those women are laughable. Unless you want some hair pulling....
Well, the woman in the manip is a ninja, so I'm trying to get an authentic pose. Also, she's holdinga naginata, meaning I have to take that into account with the pose too.

Anyway, to end... a random joke i found online...
---------------
A missionary who had spent years showing a tribe of natives how to farm and build things to be self-sufficient gets the word that he is to return home.
He realizes that the one thing he never taught the natives was how to speak English, so he takes the chief and starts walking in the forest. He points to a tree and says to the chief, "This is a tree." The chief looks at the tree and grunts, "Tree."
The missionary is pleased with the response.
They walk a little farther and the padre points to a rock and says, "This is a rock." Hearing this, the chief looks and grunts, "Rock." The padre is really getting enthusiastic about the results when he hears a rustling in the bushes.
As he peeks over the top, he sees a couple in the midst of heavy sexual activity.
The padre is really flustered and quickly responds, "Riding a bike."
The chief looks at the couple briefly, pulls out his blow gun and kills them.
The padre goes ballistic and yells at the chief that he has spent years teaching the tribe how to be civilized and kind to each other, so how could he just kill these people in cold blood that way?
The chief replied, "My bike."

I think I need to get some jellyfish. Between Finding Nemo, Hulk, and the new Evanescence video, I really wanna get a jellyfish. Been thinking of getting a pet when I move to a new apartment anyway. Now I need to find if I can get them at a petstore and how to take care of them.
Oh and I kinda wanna get a priest kinda collar like Ben Moody had in the Evanescence vid.
