Hey gang, how was SD? I know Ashley was supposed to dress up, did anyone else do anything fun?? Meet any cool celebs?
I had soo much fun last year, I wish I could have been a part of it this year. I'll definitely try and be a part next year.

man i can hardly walk today! it was way too huge this year - i had a press pass and i still couldn't get into the smallville panel! i did get decent shots of halle berry, alfred molina (doc ock), allison mack (smallville), and a shot of sam jones III's (smallville) back. i took a picture with sean astin (sam from lotr) too which was cool. i didn't do the hugh jackman panel, though i wanted too (got tired of trolling for photos in the press corner of the convention auditorium). i did see jamie pressley, christine milian, that big nerd mailman from 'just shoot me' and that one dude from 'battledome' who made the colossus audition video for x-men and a few others. my friends saw two other hobbits (i think ?), hal sparks (queer as folk), and someone saw seth green.
comic-related, i talked with josh middleton (new mutants covers/nyx) for a bit about photoshop, got him to sign some books and sketch something (he was only doing the ram creature from his com.x stuff), and bought a print and got another for free (his karma and wolfsbane covers). i saw kaare andrews, who was with josh, and they were recounting a bunch of hilarious stories that they told us not to repeat. i talked to grant morrison for a bit about his finishing up on New X-Men. i got chris giaruosso (bullpin bits) to sketch me angel and i got this neat bigger sheet with wolverine and nightcrawler. i got a sketched of the tick and a tokyo pop! sketch from seth fisher. i think there were a few more but i can't remember at the moment...

OOOOH, Kev, I LOOVE Josh Middleton's stuff on New Muntants! Although.. I've only seen like 3 covers... but still, they're AMAZING!
Can u give me some of his photoshop tips?
Hey Kev, some of us here are more interested in the scoop about other C2F members than comic news. Any good stuff to share about Robbo and anyone else who went? http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/biggrin.gif Did Robbo turn up with a bandana and if so, how did he eat breakfast?

Well I only had breakfast with Robbo cause I forgot to arrange to meet with Ashley before she left but I did see this one girl who looked like Ashley makin' out with Hugh Jackman AND Halle Berry (just kidding Ashley, I didn't see you making out with Hugh). I can't reveal too much about Robbo's appearance, but suffice it to say I know where Marvel got the inspiration for their Gen X character 'Chamber'...(I felt kinda bad for that poor quesadilla that he had).
David, I'll send you an email later about middleton once I remember what we talked about (too much beer and sangria...).
oh, double D'oh! I forgot to tell you David, robbo and i saw two of your 10th Muse pics as posters for sale at the 10th table!
oh, ps. randy bowen lost his pencil and asked to buy mine off me. instead, i got randy bowen to sign a thor ministatue and sketch captain america for me.

saw it, loved it! i was not at comic-con, i got it off a file sharing application (search dead end). if sandy collora or someone involved with that production reads this, make this available on dvd! i would gladly pay $20 or $30 for this wonderful piece of film. you gave the batman license the justice it deserves. take note WB, DC, Marvel, and any other company involved in bringing a comic property to life. this is how it's done.
yeah i'm a biased comic book fan, but.....
i showed this to my 15 year old daughter, she loved it. she has watched it twice, and i'm sure will watch it again. she knows nothing of comics....she knows Avril Lavigne, Friends, Bad Boys2, etc... you do not have to reinvent a character.....batman is folklore....he will live on and on, and at the core he is basically the same character from the Bob Kane days.
again, make this available on DVD, you and all involved deserve the proper payment for your beautiful vision.

Hey, Comic Con was on Access Hollywood today! Looks like everybody went crazy when Angelina showed up. I can't blame them. They even showed a clip of her question and answer session when somebody asked her if she dates Asian guys because she has an asian son.

Speaking of...
I lost my friends as the Trolly came up so I ran around the trolly and got in. I was standing there clueless asking if I was on the right one and why the thing I was standing on was spinning (dont ask im still confused) and some dude was answering me but I wasn't paying attention. After some light conversation someone turns around and says to the guy beside me, "hey aren't you on Queer As Folk?" And he said yes and it was Hal Sparks!
I didn't act like a screaming moron or anything and we (just me and him) had casual conversation for the whole trolly ride! We'd even stop talking completely and he'd ask me something! He turned out to be a really cool dude! It was funny cuz I thought the tttiinnnyy little phone in his ear was a large piercing! Then we had a conversation about how people will do that soon, have phones pierced into their ear and how my belly button is a radio transmitter.. lol! That was so awesome!
Did anyone see me at the Con? On Thursday I was goth with a black school girl skirt and high boots, Friday I was myself.. I was walking around with the Danger Girls taking pictures for their fans, Saturday I was Mystique - painted completely blue with cat eye contacts and a white outfit, sunday I was me in kind of a Lara inspired outfit...

Did you miss the teaser trailer?... it played with Hulk.... the tombstone ispart of the whole premise... Castle is a Drug agent and criminals gun down his family and they think he's dead too... hence the tombstone... check out the teaser on the quicktime trailer site... they use the tombstone in there...

When I went to go see Hulk they didn't play the Punisher trailer. I've seen it on the internet but that's not the same as seeing a trailer in theaters.

Too true man, too true... I remember the Hulk Teaser before Spider-Man, saw the Spider-Man trailer before LOTR: FOTR, X2 teaser before Daredevil, and then Punisher before Hulk... Seeing a good trailer right before a movie always helps me get into it.

ARRRGH! Well, I apparently almost met with Ashley. I've been insanely busy with work and studying and haven't had a chance to check the site for the last few months, so when I saw a group of X-men when I first got to the con, I just thought "Hmm... Mystique looks kinda familiar. I wonder if I know her from somewhere?" instead of "Hey! Ashley said she'd be going as Mystique." And then before I could head over and say hi, my #*$&* friend grabbed my arm and started dragging me off and practically shouting, "Hurry! We've gotta register! We're gonna miss everything! AHHH! Go, go, GO!!" I shall have to hurt him for that... http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/smile.gif
Other than that, the con was pretty fun. The highlight for me was probably the Comic Book: the Movie panel and getting to meet Mark Hamill, Rob Paulsen, and a bizillion other voice actors thereafter. Other notable moments were meeting the gang from Penny Arcade and Renee O'Connor from Xena, seeing a riot almost break out when people in the autograph area were told that Angelina Jolie wouldn't be signing anything, getting hassled by a security guard who was drunk with power and demanding that we not skip into line at Kevin Smith's booth even though we were just walking past it, and being hassled by a different security guard who was drunk with power and demanding that a bunch of us who had been standing in a line for an hour and a half couldn't sit down even though we were well out of anybody's way.
Fun stuff...
