Are there any pictures you've ever created here in the DCG which you think could easily have had a piece of music accompanying it, like a score for a film? If so, which ones (pictures and music)?

I'll list mine later, when I've looked up a piece of music.

Since this is kind of on-subject, I want to know how you did those soundbytes for so many of your pics back in the day, Welshcat? I always loved how I could hear audio on your pics.

Anyways, for the soundtracks, hmm, 'My December' by Linkin Park kind of fits the mood for my Arkham: Mr. Freeze pic. I'm not in a big thinking mood right now.

(Wheatus – Teenage Dirtbag)

(Madonna – Mer Girl)

Well, what I did then would be different to how I would do it now. Back then, I simply used the standard Wav studio sound blaster thingy which comes on most computers, and had as my main track the theme music of my choice. Then I used various audio clips, either from the internet or recorded from a video and simply did a paste mix (it takes a few tries to get it all completely synchronised). I used things like audio interviews (eg with Halle Berry) together with some Star Trek and X-Men sound clips for this one:

Now though, because I have much more sophisticated audio equipment like Cubase, it's actually MUCH easier to do those audio manipulations, because I have lots of different tracks and can compress/ expand sound clips etc to fit anything I want.

If you want a simple way to record clips from your video/ DVD, simply connect a lead from the line out of your video/ DVD and into the line in/ video input of your hi-fi. Actually, DVD should be even more straight forward.

I'm still looking up the name of a piece (a classical piece of music) for one of my pics.

For my Evangelion movie poster (http://www.comics2film.com/DCG/DispArt.php3?f_id=10676&f_ssn=), I can hear a English-language remix of "Cruel Angel's Thesis" by Evanescence.

Well I just looked threw my pictures real quick, just hought of some songs that would fit that I know right off the top of my head.
This one well was pretty easy because I got the name for the picture from the song:
The Four Horman: MetallicA (http://www.comics2film.com/DCG/DispArt.php3?f_id=12339&f_ssn=)

Forsaken: David Draiman Version (http://www.comics2film.com/DCG/DispArt.php3?f_id=12338&f_ssn=)

Highway To Hell: AC/DC (http://www.comics2film.com/DCG/DispArt.php3?f_id=11856&f_ssn=)

Serenity: Godsmack (http://www.comics2film.com/DCG/DispArt.php3?f_id=12457&f_ssn=)
Ok thats just a quick run through not to much thought put in to it.

For Ultra-Humanite's Remorse (http://www.comics2film.com/DCG/DispArt.php3?f_id=10867&f_ssn=), I think something along the lines of Shania Twain's "Feel Like a Woman" is fitting.

Most of my stuff is sprung from classic rock nervana. Billy Joel, Journey, REO, Rolling Stones, just to name a few. And then there's the Styx induced pics, like this one (http://www.comics2film.com/DCG/DispArt.php3?f_id=12832&f_ssn=) obviously.

well, interesting topic.

when i'm modeling or designing i usually am listening to stuff, i can't really say a particular song fits an image, but i can give out an artist/s i was listening too that i think inspired the work.

marrow: pantera, testament, megadeth, disturbed, korn. (i think pantera's five minutes alone would be a good choice for this pic)

sentinel vs psylocke: coc, foo fighters, kyuss. (nothing really works for this...i know i was listening to coc's heal my wounds alot on this piece....i guess it could be fitting)

wolverine: ac/dc (bon scott era), acid bath. (more ac/dc during this pic....but i think bleed me an ocean by acid bath fits this manip)

for my latest manip invisible woman, i listened to alot of stuff from two towers to get me pumped up for the dvd release and get me back in the mood for lotr. sorry can't think of a song for her though.

The piece of music I've always heard accompanying this piece http://www.comics2film.com/DCG/DispArt.php3?f_id=3476&f_ssn= is a classical piece of music. It's Carmina Burana by Carl Orff. It's also used as the theme in the movie, "Excalibur".

Is that the song also known (or at least downloadable http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/eek.gif ) as "O Fortuna"?

Hmm... It's been so long since I've manipped I don't really remember. I know that I actually make Winamp playlists as "faux soundtracks" when I'm working on scripts.

Hey, you know what'd be cool? A "music interpretation" theme day or something, where we pick a song, and from that song choose characters to work with and make a manip based on that song.

I think it is. It also used to be used for an Old Spice commercial, but I'm not sure if you'd know what that is.

The opening few bars of Tomorrow Never Dies is one I've always imagined being played for my "Behind The Iron Curtain" picture.
