I thought I might be confusing her with Caroline Munro from The Spy Who Loved Me. It's actually Caterina Murino.

And I saw that Sky report, but the image kept freezing right at the point the voice-over talked about "beautiful women," so I saw no sign of her! Drat!

So far, most all the pictures I have seen of Craig as Bond - he just doesn't look Bond; no Bond aura whatsoever. However, he looked and sounded Bond, when speaking with an interviewer in a studio on this morning's news program.

Uncle, have you seen Layer Cake? That's the one where he is most Bond-ish, although I still don't get the vibe.

Yes - I rented LC (no cake tho' - WTF?) and I could see a potential for Bond in Craig. That said, the stills from Casino Royale (IMHO) seem to look more like Craig than Bond.

Sure, when I see a still of Connery on the beach, or Brosnan on the streets of Havanna - I see Bond, even though I do realize that there are actors portaying the role (durrr). I don't see either of the actors over the charactrer - I see the character.

When I see stills of Craig as Bond - I see Craig. I am not about to slam him whatsoever. I want to see the film first. On a good note, all I am pointing out was, that when stripped of all the press and expectaions, and when just allowing him to speak before a camera, just as in LC - I could be the potential for a great Bond.

Let's hope the work behind the scenes; the writers, the director and such make that potential a reality.

You know, I never really pictured Bond as being that buff. I always thought of Bond as more lean and mean. Looks damn good though. :rolleyes:

I know a lot of what goes in to casting Bond is how the actor moves, and now having seen the first hour of Layer Cake I can agree that he does have that swagger. Didn't see it at all in Tomb Raider but I suppose the role didn't really call for it.
