UIR time...

TROIA
overall the manip looks good, clean and smooth. the only problem i have with it is the hair. it looks like its had a run through the SHARPNESS filter. it just looks a a bit rough compared to the rest of the image. but like i said, overall a good manip. maybe a two piece would suit her better?

DRAGON KNIGHT PG2
i love the style of drawing in this, it has a kind of dinsey/anime look to it. you know, i sometimes like it when comics are left only in lead pencil but a colour version would look pretty amazing too. good work

ROGUE
first off, the base pic is really dodgy but that's not your fault. there were a few tutorials here that give you hints on smoothening (is that a word?) skin and base images. you did well on usuing rogue's original colours etc, but maybe more resemblance to her actual costume would make it better. the hair needs a bit of work as well.

PSYLOCKE
much like DRAGON KNIGHT, i love the sketchy kind of feel to this drawing. it's not as clean of course, but the smudging just adds to its character. i saw some of your other drawings on your website, and personally think the penciled ones look a lot better than the inked/coloured ones. pyslocke looks elegant but deadly, great stuff.

ANGEL IN FLIGHT
angel, one of my personal favourties (as you'll all see in the upcoming COSTUME theme day). good idea and the perspective works well, cept the dull colouring is what gets to me. maybe increasing contrast a bit might make it more vibrant. and the Poser-ish body sheds any momentum you were trying to depict.

STAR WARS EP 3
as you mentioned, the images are from the AOTC poster, and this concept poster looks a lot like it. it works well a movie poster, and most of the characters have consistent lighting. my only problem with it is C3PO and R2D2, who look like they could have a run through the CONTRAST tool. and hayden christensen might need a bit of work on his hair.

SECRET ORIGINS
hehe this is pretty funny, distubring, but funny. i like the style of drawing you used for it too, good stuff.

WOLFSBANE
i'm not familiar with the chracter but i like what you've done with mena's face. th costume however, looks really fake and out of place with the great job you did with the face. also, it looks as though you smoothed out the face too, something you could have done on the arms as well.

STRIKING IN THE SHADOWS
the love the concept behind this. the shadow fits perfectly with the background, not just a typical FILL with black. i'd like to see more manips from this concept.

SHE HULK
hehe this is cool. i was thinking of going some GIFs as well. the animation is pretty smooth for a seven-frame animation. her head though, it looks a bit big on the starting image but maybe thats just my bad eyesight.

THOR
good work with the mouse, but the pose is really boring (almost mirrored) and the image is pixellated. maybe putting him in an action pose would make him seem more powerful and not so static.

VAMPIRELLA
i think you need to get a different background for this manip to look really good. the red bean bags and the red costume don't go well together. the costume looks good, but a little rough around the edges. maybe cut out the background and just use a simple DIFFERENCE CLOUD filtered background?

STORM
i like the idea of making publicity/advertising stuff using comic characters. this works really well and good job on putting on storm's head, it might be a bit big though. another thing, i don't think those prices are right, they'd have to be about double that!

WIDOW SCORNED
i'd love to see a non-pixellated version of it, cos at the moment i can see a lot of jaggered edges. the leather and lighting comes up well with the pencil. nice job.

POWERGIRL
congratualtions! getting this uing oil on canvas is a huge achievment. the painting has a very vintage look to it, maybe its the hairdo or the neutral colours. again, good work.

..and last, but definitely not least

POISON IVY
this looks bloody awesome! that's about it http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/biggrin.gif
i tried getting the high-res version from your site, but there was no link to it in the gallery section. i'd love to see it non-pixellated.

and that's that.

Thanks everyone! Lessee, you have to click the Arkham Asylum link on the Gallery page to get to it, but here's a link to the high res http://www.geocities.com/mr_zaiyen/ivy2.jpg
(remember, it's Geocities, so you have to copy and paste the link)

Thanks. The head looks big on the starting image because it's the same size throughout. I wanted the start image to look small and the end image to look huge so I kept the head the same. Otherwise it might just look like she's getting closer instead of growing.
