well seems like I got the theme day bug also...been looking at some of the Stan Lee Imagines comics and it got me thinking..how about a theme day where we take a traditional character and create our version of it? can be purely concept or casting ideas...if anyone wants to instigate the date and other rules then do so..all I've got is the name which is 'Imagine my:....' and then the name of the comicbook character you're doing........shutting up.

Ya know, just like a week ago I was thinking about doing something like this. I'm in.
"What kinda of a world is this where a man dressed as a bat gets all my press?"
This theme day has my vote.
No idea what I'd actually contribute, as nothing comes to mind immediately, but it's a good theme day idea. (And I'll certainly try to get something up for it.)

LOVE this idea! But I think there should be an addendum stating that there should be a backstory in the notes... Like, why they look like this, other than "I thought this would look cool"
But I very much like this idea... hmmm...
Might have to put on the ol' artists cap and get going...

For Display: Fri Sept 19th
Details: Take a conventional character and re-invent them as if they were your creation..for inspiration see the Stan Lee Imagines series...also a backstory/outline to show some added creativity...no Amalgam please, just traditional characters as they COULD'VE been....

remember and post this in the Calender of Events (http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/Forum7/HTML/002127.html) too, other wise you may loose the date to someone else.
Remember Essex might not check every single thread in the board, so we use the Calender of Events to let him know he has to look out for pics with "*****" on a certain day http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/smile.gif Psst.. 4 or 5 Stars is usually enough to catch his attention http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/wink.gif
"Is it true what they say about guys with big feet? Yes they do need big shoes."
At 'GODZ' bar: "Okay, Okay, We're Police Officers. Nobody move in a mysterious way.."
See what sort of mood i'm in.. (http://www.localhero.org.uk/journal/)

Now that's SEVEn asterisks, right? Not eight? My eyes aren't what they used to be! http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/wink.gif
Working on designs as we speak!

Just FYI for everyone, the number of asterisks don't matter, just have more than 3 or 4. The only reason it's requested is so it will catch Adam's eye, and usually just a few will draw his attention.

yeah I'd say so..as long as its different enough from the original character...you don't have to keep the pic the same tho...different skin color/hair etc..

Bump patch v2......

09-18-2003, 06:53 AM
the last bump in case people need reminding..made a sloppy manip for this as its my theme day idea and not submitting anything would be ..well...lazy...
Apologies. I wanted to contribute to this one but, alas, none of my half-baked ideas worked out in time... http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/frown.gif
