Thor Odinson by Tokyo_Bastard - Basically the same as your previous Thor, although reasonable job of repositioning the arm. You did leave it a bit hazy around the elbow though. Also the hand color needs to be matched to the rest of the body.. it isnt pink enough.
Imagine my: Super-Man by ali786 - Nice Idea. I like how you reworked elemnts into the back story. The picture is well executed with a nice choice of colours. I would have liked to have seen more going on in the background to indicate your chosen timeframe.
LXG: The Hat Squad by Craig - Heh.. seeing as LXG just opened over here in the UK.. the timing is ok in my book. I like this idea and the characters were all on the go roughly around the same time, so them meeting up would probably make a lot of sense. Hornet's coloring looks a bit off compared to the others, like he isn't under the same orangey lighting.
The Subs by bearbot - another group shot. You really have a knack for them. I'm not familiar with this lot, but I do like how you have used the people from popular - where even the so called 'ugly' people aren't really.
Daredevil/Elektra by Marrow2000 - I really like this experimental stuff. It has a darker feel that is very popular these days. Not to say I don't like your other stuff, but we always need to stretch ourselves now and then or we become a bit stale. Nice work on capturing the costumes.
Hush by D.K.Hood - I never got round to reviewing the first piece, but I did look at the larger pic on your site. Impressive.. most impressive. Really nice work man. How long did this take you? I particularly like Supe's eyes.. has he been enchanted by Ivy? I don't read a lot of DC stuff, so I'm not up on this storyline.
"Is it true what they say about guys with big feet? Yes they do need big shoes."
At 'GODZ' bar: "Okay, Okay, We're Police Officers. Nobody move in a mysterious way.."
See what sort of mood i'm in.. (http://www.localhero.org.uk/journal/)

How long? Too long! I don't know exactly how many hours I spent on this image because I was working on my X-Statix pic at the same time. I do know it wasn't done until 2 1/2 weeks after I started it.
And yeah, Superman's enchanted alright. He makes his entrance by tossing over the building that Poison Ivy is in when she gets cornered by Batman and Catwoman.

parkvengers: cool...i like black panter the most. nice touch on wasp's wings.
thor: i would kill for a more inventive background. like local said..not much different..the arm and hammer are nice. maybe a helmet next time if you revisit it again.
superman: neat take on the character. i like the colors...very medieval.
hat squad: nice compilation of images...the text is well done.
batman: nice job of matching up the lighting. for what little there is nice work.
sandman: nice work on cleaning up johnny. the hand addition is well done.
bale: um okay. nice cut and paste.
joker: 17 minutes...gues what....it shows. hazy eyes, hair, missed skin and hair.
superman: nice work....i would love to see some art notes on what was actually done.
buzzrds: nice style...really like the ufo in the background.
the subs: i would have to say not one of your better manips. don't get me wrong...it's nice work....i've just seen much better from you imo. i don't know why...it just seems hazy and not very crisp like some of your other work.
ricochet: why submit something quick when you can take your time and submit something that looks half way decent. sorry, but the left leg looks bad....the position it is in just juts out. i can't really make heads or tails of the image.
daredevil/elektra: wow...nice work. i like the different stuff that you are submitting. very moody and really nice feel to it.
teela: your welcome for the tips in the art school...you did great work. nice frankensteining...on the model as well as the castle.
batman: nice coloring. i especially like the foreground part of the cape. nice work.
hush: nice work no complaints. supes really stands out...i like the muscle pops and vein work. that background is awesome.
okay i'm going to vent......this is not directed at artists today, it's the dcg art group as a whole. why bother submitting stuff that took you 5 minutes, when if you took your time with the image there would be better results. i can understand if you have given yourself a set time limit to work an image to test your skills, as i did with my torch piece, but to whip something up in 5 minutes and submit a sub-par piece just boggles my mind. is cutting and pasting josh hartnett's head on top of christopher reeves superman body really manipping, in my opinion...no. it's not that i mind it, but when you could add something to the background, or some text, or match up some lighting....you know stuff that could really make the image more of your own and showcase what you can do better. anyone who has the courage to post stuff is cool with me....but i would think as an artist we would all like to put out our best stuff...and if you think that 5 minutes is long enough to spend on the image...well then sobeit. be prepared for me to rip it apart. want to know why i haven't submitted anything recently...because it all sucks and i know i can do better.
okay...i vented....feel free to be mad at me. at the least maybe we will get a few more uirs for everyone.
No one should be mad at you for that, Dan. As usual, you speak sense.
Now, a UIR...
Parkvengers #0: Parkvengers Assembled by localhero
Cool. I particularly like Black Panther and Vision (who's face isn't very South Park, but is still cool).
Thor Odinson by Tokyo_Bastard
Nice (though I hate Kevin Nash). As the others've said, nothing much different from the last version, but the hammer's well done. Reaaaal shame about that background, though.
imagine My: Super-man by ali786
It'd be nice if this was a wee bit bigger--after all, the top third's just blackness. Good work, though the bright red S doesn't really work for me, what with all the more subdued earth tones around it. I like the backstory.
Lxg: The Hat Squad by Craig
Nice composite. I too like the lettering.
Christian Bale As Batman by slideshow
Kinda small, but well done.
Dream Of The Endless by fhqwhgads
Great debut. The hand fits in quite seamlessly. It'd be nice if we could see the hair better.
Bale As Batman by sithgoblin
Cut-n-paste indeed. Not bad, I guess.
Jim Carrey As The Joker by joker21
Yes, the lack of time does show. Very very badly. I think the mouth's particularly bad.
Superman Lives by KAZ
Cool. But yes, as Dan says, art notes would be nice.
The Amazing Joy Buzzards by chrisfason
This is cool. I really like your art style.
The Subs by bearbot
Good, but I'll agree you've done better. I don't think the lighting entirely matches, and some of the added bits are too blurry and indistinct. I also think the composition's a bit bleh.
Ricochet by lamor112
Not very good, no. That leg's horrible out of position, and the torso looks off too. And then there's those jagged lines around him...
Daredevil/elektra by Marrow2000
Absolutely incredible. I've been loving the different styles you've been playing with of late, and this piece looks particularly awesome. Moody is good. The posterization effect works really well. I love the costuming on Elektra. In all, just... wow.
Teela by EvilOz
Who she? Great frankensteining, great costuming, the background's nice. Great job all round. I think some of the elements--like the shield--don't entirely fit in, but I can't quite say why (so it may well be my imagination http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/smile.gif). It's a bit small though.
Jim Lee's Batman Colored by arkheon
Wonderful colouring. The background and all that fog (?) look great. I'm jealous.
Hush pic 2 Of 2 by D.K.Hood
I didn't get a chance to review the first pic either, but I've looked at the whole piece and this is great stuff. I think the background could use a few more colours (and some darkness), but that's just me. Again, great work.
