View Full Version : Post-Halloween Costume Show
Hey everyone! Sorry for the late notice but this just came to mind. I have talked with a few people that have mentioned that they won't be able to post pics of their Halloween costumes until after Halloween, which is certainly understandable (I face the same problem). So thus, I am extending the Halloween update so we can post our costumes together. Here's the details:
Title: Halloween Costumes!
Pretitle: ***Costume: (your title)
Due Date: 8:00 pm EST on Tuesday, November 4th to be put in the Wednesday update.
Details: Post a picture of your Halloween costume, and I'm changing the rules a bit, it can be a comic OR movie costume or anything else you think will be cool to show off. You can manip the pics if you want, but it's not nessisary. If you have already submitted a pic of your costume, you can change the title if you want it to wait, or, if not, it will just be put into tonight's update.
Hopefully this will cut down on some stress.

Negative, negative, we have a radiation leak, pretty large, very dangerous, give us a few minutes to lock it down.

Nicely done Neo Jem, waaaaaaaaaay better than many of the half assed ones I ve seen over the past few days. The Snot Topic coat didnt look to bad the static had to be annoying, my friend made a Neo replica coat for under a 100 he said it wasnt too difficult.
One question do you have the funny overall type things Neo wares under the coat? http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/tongue.gif

The thing's a replica cassock (Neo is wearing what is basically a grey/black wool (?) cassock in Reloaded and Revolutions, to tie into the whole Neo-As-Messiah thing), but as I point out, his has a full circle "skirt", whereas mine has two half circles, and also doesn't fan out in the front like his does... This makes certain poses incredibly difficult. Blah.
Although, I did get a chance to do that cool Chinese Kung Fu film "kick leg out, wrap it around errant fabric, kick leg down to assume proper stance" maneuver a few times. http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/wink.gif
I went shopping at religious supply stores, and found that most cassocks for sale looked NOTHING like that one (many were for Baptist or Episcopalian wear, instead of Jesuit or "standard" Catholic, I never knew people were so picky about their cassocks), and most were over $400. Amazing.
As to underneath it, I'm wearing wool dress pants, black socks and shoes, and a black t-shirt. I figure no one can see under the jacket...

I gota get me a cassock. Or at least the top half. Dunno about the 'skirt' type bottom. Between Neo and Duo from Gundam Wing I like the priest collar thing and eastern shirt thing. Plus throw in Wolfwood from Trigun.
Sometimes when I wear a black regular collared shirt people comment that I look like a priest. I rhater like that look. Though now I wouldn't mind a higher collar, i got the neck for it. (unlike the narrator from Rocky Horror.) So i wanna get a collar like that. Or maybe even a priest like collar thing like Ben Moody wears in Evanescence's going Under video.
Oh and one thing I did steal from Wolfwood, I plan on putting crosses on the sleeves of my trenchcoat. I already got an army chaplin cross on one loop of a sleeve and am waiting for the store to restock the pin to put on on the other sleeve.
hmmm... i doubt i have anything worthy of putting in the DCG, but I had this priest look on Halloween when we went to Salem. Might post a link here if I got a good shot.

Well blah! Those of us stuck in the 20th century with regular cameras that need to be developed (and can't afford 1 hour photo) sometimes have trouble with this stuff.
I'll submit it later as a Batgirl manip, as soon as I get pics developed.
