slow day at work, think i'll get this uir in early.

darkseid: it's not a bad recolor. i think the eyes should have a little bit of flame coming from them.

shamrock: very nice look. nice costume....no four leaf clover? excellent character.

punisher: nice look to him. very sharp and tough looking. face looks really cool.

green lantern: i kinda liked the other one better. nice work with poser.

xmen vs hulk: i would think angel would want to keep an eye on hulk. i like the comic book layout.

superman design: neat concept....looks a pit oily.

hulk leads: it's like a mugshot. nice muscle work. the face is great.

blink: i would smooth up the skin a little. eyes are well done.

starfire: okay no offense, but the way you have everything lit the eyes, eyebrows, lips, etc makes it look just slapped on. the skin is a great color. check out starngefish's tutorial in the art school section....this will help you do costuming so much better, i know because it made me a helluva lot better.

george reeves: as always, great work. very nicely done.

judgement poster: glad the skin tutorial helped out. really nice hair work. i'm not meaning to sound sexist here in anyway, but something seems wrong with the body size around the cross of the well, cross. i don't know if it's an optical illusion or what, but it seems out of proportion. nice cross and awesome colors for the background.

orson welles: nice early look. i would clean up the pixelation.

flying rat: i think you could have gone with fewer muscles in the legs. mouse drawn, really well done...someone get this man a tablet.

emma frost: first submission, damn! nice work....welcome to the dcg....very niceley done. good costume and nice background.

feline felon: she definitely has that crazy look. nice touch on the scratches and self mutilation. a ball of yarn how cool. for an extra crazy touch have a mouse hanging out of her mouth or in her hands. nice pat benatar hair, sorry it's an 80's reference. as always great work, excellent addition to your arkham series.

No, you're right, the proportions are funny. I think it has mostly to do with the woman in the base image having rather unusual proportions. But I can't take credit for the hair...it was in the base image. Mostly this is just a way cool base image that I wanted to do justice for.

I promiseI will return to UIR later this evening, right now I have no time! No time!

ive always been a big fan of the woman in the base image's proportions.. heh.. that's why i used Anna Friel in my Angel pic http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/wink.gif

No time for a full review. I just wanted to compliment a couple of select pictures.

Dperceful - great take on Gambit, and a more refreshing one at that. It certainly does stand out and makes a welcome change from the typical pictures seen here. Did you use your hair tutorial thingy on him?

Zac - cool looking picture of Catwoman to add to your excellent Arkham series. Jolie does look slightly crazed, but she does also seem slightly aroused. I suppose that it's not unreasonable she might be, however. Hey, perhaps she could've had a comfort toy in there to keep her company - maybe a soft purple cat? http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/smile.gif

why yes, yes i did use my hair tutorial for his hair, even his stubble. the original piece had guy with his hair fairly short and messed up. so i just created the hairline and made the hair from there. went realy slow with the dodge and burn process so that the hair was more definite than blurry and smudgy, the more i look at it the more i should have taken time with the hair, i got a little careless during the smudging process. his stubble was actually missing in spots due to the overexposure of the pic, so it looked kinda weird. i used a speckle brush and slapped it down on a separate layer....blur, speckle again, blur, speckle again, blur.

thanks for the compliments.

Back, as promised.

darkseid: not bad, something looks very odd about his waist but that might just be me.

shamrock: Oooh nice wrinkles! Cool design too.

punisher: interesting, unique style- would be cool if Punisher dropped by an episode of the MTV Spidey cartoon looking like this.

green lantern: nice job, poser can be tough till you get the hang of it. Even once you do, it's frustrating...

xmen vs hulk: hmm, using comic panels is an interesting idea, I'd suggest using a more interesting layout, like maybe three different sized panels.

superman design: hmm, big feet http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/wink.gif

hulk leads: hee hee hee, tiny ears...now I wonder what that means?

blink: the image could use some cleaning up, and there's no costuming...but still, I really like the eye effects.

starfire: hmm, yeah the costuming needs more definition, so that it doesn't look like a seperate layer above the picture. What's with the oddly placed black nipple thingies?

george reeves: whoa! you drew that with pencil colors? cool! I love how the S looks like a sewn on patch.

orson welles: Overall, nice job, good old timey feel.

flying rat: You're a man (or woman) of few words aren't you? lol. Nice job, esp on the utility belt. I'd also say fewer muscles. Did you scan in the face/batcowl from a drawing you did?

emma frost: Welcome! for a first submission, that's awesome. Nice work on the background and all the recoloring (hair, eyes) is great.

Gambit: Excellent job on the hair and REALLY excellent job on the eyes! Love the atmosphere created with the poem too.

feline felon: mmm, yummy angelina...perfect facial expression and I do love the claw marks...I would have added blood to the mouse...No bat for the cat! ha, you are so clever.

Well, I'm tired and it's cold, so I think I'll retire to the only room with heat in this house...sigh, damn I wanna be moved already!

A great update today! Here's my UIR...

Darkseid by siddhartha- Did you make the original Hulk image?

Shamrock by MysticMorgan- I love it!!!!!! The costume looks great! Very cool!!! The only thing I would maybe change is the all green background. Maybe add a gradient or some light so as to not flatten the image. Great job!!!

Punisher by KAZ- Cool.

Green Lantern Re-do by Junfan- Lol, I remember the original! This looks good, but I don't know much about poser so I can't really give any good advice. I like the leg muscles though.

X-men Vs Hulk by kid bom- This looks like you put a lot of work in this. It looks good. I like Angel. The only thing I'm not sure about is the effect thingy in the 1st panel. Is that supposed to be Gambit's kinetic powers or Jubilee's plasma powers? It looks like it's from Gambit but the actual effect looks more of something Jubilee would do.

Superman Design (full) by ali786- Intersting proportions. I like.

Hulk Leads by Solid Snake- Nice muscles.

Blink...and What? by show_u_who_i_am-
I like the Blink lettering. The rest looks pretty good. Her skin looks slighty grainy. I also like her eyes.

Starfire by bcat75- Hmm... I think that if you are going with the whole painty, beveled looks you should do that for the whole picture.

George Reeves Superman by OhmanArt- Looks great as always.

Redo: Judgment Poster by WonderWomanGoddess- I read the other comments and I looked at this pic a long time, but the proportions look fine. I don't see anything wrong with them. I think this pic came out great. The hair/eyes are awesome.

Orson Welles' The Bat-man by cody- Nice concept.

A Flying Rat by Undertow- The muscles on the legs seem a bit overwhelming.

Emma Frost by encforme- OMG! This is your 1st photo manip??? This is great! It looks good enough to be anyone's 20th. Major kudos!

Gambit by dperceful- Remy! I love Gambit!!!!! Cool picture! The eyes look great and the poem is an awesome added touch. It is simple yet effective. And it's Gambit. Yea! Nice work!

Arkham: The Feline Felon by Zac- The blood and scratches looks great.

Arkham -- I have loved this whole series and am glad to see another installment.

Gambit -- This is my fave image of the update. You prove that minimalist doesn't mean minimal work. The eyes are gorgeous

Emma Frost -- Great and ambitious first manip. Looking forward to seeing more.

Flying Rat -- Interesting style. The fuzzy edge seems a bit weird in contrast to the sharp edges of his body though.

Orson Welles' The Bat Man -- Nice layout but there seems to be something a bit odd about Batman's face to me. Still nice compliation.

Judgment -- I remember the first version and this is a great redo. And a cool original character as well.

George Reeves Superman -- Great drawing. The detail in his face and hair are outstanding.

Starfire -- Very painty and the background is pretty pixelated in places. Don't know if that is due to the compression or not.

Blink -- The eyelight is nice and the recolor pretty good but a bit grainy. This would have benefited from one of dpercifel's skin smoothing tutorials.

Hulk leads -- Cool shadowing and detail

Superman design -- Cool concept and nice shading. His right hand looks a bit out of proportion though. Don't know if that is from the orginal base or not

X-men vs. Hulk -- I like Jubilee's power signature. The wings on Angel don't really look like they are made of feather though.

Green Lantern -- Nice. For not having had Poser long this looks pretty good. Love the costume work too.

Punisher -- Cool pic, interesting style.

Shamrock -- Sweet costuming design. And interesting pose. Makes me wish I were more familiar with the character.

Darkseid -- Doesn't really say Darkseid to me but nice recolor either way.

just wanted to pop in and say Zac's pic of Catwoman is disturbing as hell.
