Okay....i've been wanting to submit a little GIF animating daredevil's radar....problem is file size. I don't want to shrink it anymore than I already have (is has already lost so much).
Basically does anyone have any GIF secrets to minimize file size...I'm using imageready.

I'm not sure this will help but I tend to use Flash as vector-type graphics don't eat up as much size as bitmap images....

Drop the colour depth. Use 200 colours instead of 256. You'll be amazed at how much space you'll save. Also, if the animation is mostly one colour, people won't really notice the difference. You will, though, because you've been working on it for so long, but other people will think that's just the way it's meant to be. http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/smile.gif
Or drop colours down to 100 or so, and just link to the full 256 version. http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/smile.gif

if y'wanna shoot it to me, I can prolly get it down quite small without affecting the dimensions...
or use a program like Fireworks to minimize the palette
