Who wants to be invisible?

Okay, I need some help, here.

I was going to try and do a really ambitious piece, using named actors as the characters from The Invisibles.

Then I realized that we have some pretty amazing talent right here in the DCG, as well as whole bunches of photogenic peoples.

So, here's my idea.

If you want to be one of the Invisibles, let me know. I'll need as close to a full body shot as you can get me, and if it works, it works. If it doesn't, it doesn't.

This could take me SOME TIME given my obnoious schedule, but I really have a jones to do this, so we'll see.

The characters to be done (and anyone I think might fit them) are:

King Mob - Bald Englishman, punk, the worlds best terrorist. No ideas for who to cast.

Lord Fanny - Transvestite shaman, from South America. Oddly, I think our lovely and talented Strangefish would do well in this role.

Ragged Robin - Quite mad, she is. Telepath from the future. The beautiful and skilled Devilbunny has a particular image in the DCG gallery that would work wonders for this character.

Boy - Martial arts (and other... erm... arts) expert. The problem is, with all due respect, Boy is a girl, and is quite categorically black (I'm sorry, I'm not PC. Besides, I have cousins from Liberia and Harlem, and none of them prefer the term "African American". Sue me). I might have to go with an honest to goodness actor, here.

Jack Frost - Another young English Punk. This one can see ghosts and is supposedly a sorcerer of no small caliber. He might even be Buddha, it's hard to tell with all the drinking and swearing and drugs. For some reason, Zac comes to mind as a good casting.

Okay. What I need from you, then, is, preferably, a full body shot at about 300 dpi that I can then fuddle with. The closer you can get to looking like a British punk in a leather jacket (Jack actually wears this big thick winter coat through a lot of the series, but for terms of modern movies, a leather jacket is de rigeur, it seems), the better off the pic will be, because it will be less actual modification work on the figures. Devilbunny has provided me with a FANTASTIC (can't say that enough, let me say it again, FANTASTIC) base pic for Ragged Robin, that I'll have very little changing to do on, so I'm hoping to be very lucky with this piece. http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/smile.gif

Jo's got me some very good references of his face, which I'll have to composite onto other shots of his body and do up some costume work on, so we'll see how that goes on his end as Mob.

Okay, Tragic Jester and Lady D have both volunteered, so, I'll tell you what:

What I need is some manner of suitable "propoganda" pose for each character. I have one for Ragged Robin, as can be seen. Zac owes me one for Jack Frost (or King Mob, depending on what he does). Jo has got me a few face pics for Mob (or Frost, depending). What I need now is Lord Fanny and Boy. So... Fanny is a South American Shaman, former male transvestite prostitute, current male transvestite glamour queen (and man, do I mean Queen!), and the Magical Heavy Hitter of the Invisibles (until and unless Jack gets his stuff together). Boy is categorically black, ...meaning that many of our fairer skinned beauties won't be suitable unless I get VERY creative with color changes... And is a martial arts EXPERT.

Fanny dresses as one might expect to see on Ru Paul, and Boy wears what amount to street clothes - pants and shirts that are easy to fight in and still look good, too.

I'm sure there are images of the characters around the net.

Hi, guys. I'm sorry I haven't done more with this piece. I've completely lost the stylus for my Intuos, and I can't get ahold of Wacom to find out if they can replace it for me at a charge.

I promise, as soon as I get moved into my new place, I will have either found the thing, or will have gotten a new tablet and thus solved the problem.

Okay, as said in the No Topic, I'm looking to get a 300 dpi pic of Jo dressed in a leather jacket (other clothes can be non-leather) if possible, looking like he's about to bust one into someone's head. Paired guns preferred if possible. Shades are a bonus of enormous potential.

Also, as I really want to do this with only members of the DCG, and no celebrities, I must reluctantly pull Boy out of the picture, as we simply don't have any females here who can play her.

I'd like to put Jim Crow in to replace her, and I think D. K. Hood would do a good job as the Voudoun Magician of the Invisibles. Also, it would give the movie poster a nice, round, feel to it... Mob and Frost with their punk looks, Ragged Robin and Mob with Guns, Fanny and Crow with their no-guns mystic looks, and give it a less "western" feel to it (Voudoun being African in descent according to many).

Okay. So, I can't find a suitable model for Boy, and no one wants to be Jim Crow.

However, the idea of John O'Dreams comes to mind.

I have a new idea. Zac is pretty much my best choice for Jack Frost.

I'm wondering if I can get Jo to put on a suit and be John O'Dreams. Jo, got a white suit? Or something light enough that I can alter the colors and turn it into a white suit?

I ask if you can because I happen to have a lot of leather clothes and enough props that I can easily pull off my own King Mob. However, I'm not thin enough to do John.

I need something about 300 dpi on the same plane of elevation as Devilbunny is in her part of the picture. If you have a light colored suit, that would work. You need to have some glasses on, and look kinda distinguished. If you don't have reference pics of John O'Dreams, I can provide some.

I'll scan some of the pics that I have of me in the leather leaning forward looking menacing and pulling something out of jacket. Where do I send the various thumbnails of these for you to choose the one you like? And also can I stuffit if the file size is large?
