As an artist (heh) I don't want to limit myself to purely COmics based photomanips so I went to (the enemy) Worth1000.com. They hold daily competitions and below is my submission for their let it snow comp. Personally I think I should have medaled (and not in a Dick Dastardly kind of way) but I guess the public didn't agree.
Does anyone else do non-comics based manipping/design. I'm slowly starting to build a portfolio y'see so I thought I'd look into what others were doing.

p.s. on a sidenote I'm sorry about not having Uir'ed for a couple of submissions back. I've had some crazy stuff on in my 'real' life.

Very nice work Mike definatly worthy of a metal.
I've done some non comic related manips but only for a class, this is just a hobbie for me and comic characters are usually what motivate me to do a manip.
Yep, nice work indeed. I'd have voted for it. The Snow Camel's really cool too.
I got Bryce before I started doing manips, so I do 3D work irregularly. Plus I regularly draw/doodle non-comics related stuff, if that counts. You can see some of my better 3D stuff on my website, though its nothing particularly special. I'm a dabbler, not a professional, it's just a hobby for me too. Right now I don't have that much time for art, so most of the time I do have goes to doing comics related stuff for the DCG -- the only place I actually post my art where it'll actually get reviewed.

Yes, I do other manips as well, i am currently working on The Curious George manip series: copy and paste this link: http://www.angelfire.com/darkside/wolverine/images/georgegetsbusted.jpg
and I am just finishing up the "Idiots Guide" series which are really funny! (part one is here, copy and paste: http://www.angelfire.com/darkside/wolverine/images/idiotsguide1.jpg).
I actually am going to have to build from scratch a Curious George font inorder to do the rest of the series because I can't find the font anywhere...tell me if any one knows where one is)
