Yep, I skipped an update. File it under "time, lack of." And since that condition unfortunately persists, here's an abbreviated select UIR for the most recent update.

Marvel Legends Customs by Welshcat
Well, yeah, that is indeed a change of pace from you. Cool! I think I remember you mentioning these figures a while back. I'm not really an action figure kinda guy, but these look cool. Cat-Man's head is particularly great. I don't see any real problems or anything. Well, Blizzard's arms are huge and bizarrely jointed, but that's not your fault.

Nice drawing, nice colouring -- except for the hair (if that's what it is), which is quite flat and could use some shading. The fingers on the left / screen right hand seem a bit thick, while the upper arm seems kinda scrawny. Otherwise, no complaints. I've no idea who the character is, mind you.

What an ]i]awesome[/i] title. And a great piece of artwork as well. That's one of the creepiest versions of ol' Mister J I've seen in quite a while -- it's perfect! His expression is great. I love the eyes and mouth in particular. The hair doesn't work for me, it's far too bright. It also seems a bit short... I've always seen Joker as having more hair. The background I'm also not sure about, I'd have gone for something darker and more somber... it's a bit distracting IMO.

This is quite good for an hour's work. The costuming looks oddly flat, I think the shadows aren't sufficiently dark to produce an illusion of depth. This is particularly true of the tunic/shirt/thingy. And the flame's kinda blurry. Like I said though, good work for an hour.

Superman by daekazu
Great work, as usual. Great drawing, beautiful colouring as well -- probably the best I've seen with coloured pencils. Lois looks great. I like the background as well, the newspapers. (Course, they shouldn't be in Polish, but whatever.) That said, I do have one fairly big problem with this -- Superman. He's nowhere near muscular enough to be, y'know, Superman. I realize that's your style, you always draw characters in that bishonen-ish style, but it just looks totally wrong for Supes. Plus his legs seem a bit weird, not quite sure why.

Void by KLA 1 – You definitely get your idea across. I can tell that you had a strong image in mind, and it was a very good choice to back light this. The problems are while the color pallet is “realistic” it’s not very interesting. The base figure looks good, but the head appears to have been altered giving it a non-human look. I don’t know if this was intentional or not, but it stands out as a flaw.

Agent Joker by Sonic1002 – I totally buy into this image and the casting. Well done.

Comic Storm by Nickice – Very nice cartoony style. Your work could benefit from a good image clean up after you scan it in (Take a look at Superman by daekazu). Also pick up a book on anatomy for the artist. I like your stuff.

MC Adora GREEN ENVY by Level1 – I’m not a big fan of using someone else’s work without permission or at least credit.

Paul Walker as The Human Torch by Hughes – See above.

Wonder Woman by loki – I can see a lot of time was spent on this and that you enjoy the process. That said this just seems unfinished to me. More work should have been done on the metal, shadows and the lasso. The background confuses my eye a little, is it a blend, or graphic, are those speed lines??? I’ve seen your photoshop work in the past so I know you could have brought more to this piece.

Marvel Legends Customs by Welshcat – These are fantastic. My favorite is Stratosfire.

Jenny XJ 9 by astroluc – You have captured the basic look and feeling of this character. You need to watch your proportions however; the cartoon Jenny is about 6 or 7 heads while yours would be somewhere around 8 or 9.

Laserfamily by Laserskater – I really don’t know what to say about it.

Batman :dcg collective scene by ali786 – I really like your contribution to the collective scene. As a stand alone piece it could benefit from the addition of a background.

Eliza Dushku as The Black Cat by RogueChere – Smudgy, but a good first at bat.

Invisible Woman by xavix – Bootylicious and swell FF accessorizing.

Challenge: 1 Hour FIRESTORM by TRYGONEZ – I have to disagree with you, the lighting and shadows are strong. They make for a dramatic piece. With more time on it to bring a little depth and detail to the body and costume this could be top notch.

Superman by daekazu – Very nice for the media used. This doesn’t have a retro feel to me, but rather a really clean manga influence. I like the idea at work here. Lois has nice sweet ‘n’ sexy look. The problems I see are... Superman looks more like Superboy... He is a little soft in the gut... The wrinkles and drapery effects of his costume pinch and gather oddly. Very good.

Birthday: Junkyard's Now A Villain by Jedi Knight Pas-Jo Dacle – Looks like you have a bit of a rodent infestation. Better call in The X-terminator.
