"FAME!" Theme Day

Yet another theme day idea: "FAME!"

The idea behind this one is to do a manip, drawing, or 3-D rendering of yourself as a superhero movie charicter that has yet to grace the screen. No Wolverines, Cyclopses, Hulks, or whatnot. You CAN do possible sequel charicters, or you can make yourself into a charicter for an entirely NEW movie.

Note that these are MOVIE charicters, so avoid spandex if it's unnesesary, no ridiculous amounts of skin if you're a female, and other things that just wouldn't work in a movie. This is to your own discresion, of course. There are no real movie guidlines.

Who's up for this? You're chance to be a star? Kinda?

How about instead we have the X-Men at New York's High School for Performing Arts? We could have Nightcrawler as Leroy, Storm as Irene Cara (movie Coco), Professor X as Mr Schwarzovsky, maybe Wolverine as Bruno Martelli?

I believe Welshcat was making a reference to the old movie/older tv show/newer reality show "Fame". This was likely before your time, as the movie was from like 1980. Actually it was before my time too (as I was rockin' the womb as a fetus).

Anyway, I don't know about the deadline yet. It'll depend on what everybody thinks, assuming this even gets off the ground.

Ok, this is too good for me to pass up. I'm in, and have all the material ready for....MULLET-MAN: THE MOVIE!

Have a bunch of pictures of me at the open call for the "who wants to be a superhero" in my Mullet-Man gear (no news on THAT front sad to say....)

So the Mullet will once again grace...or fall flat oin his face...the online pages of the DCG...VIVA LA MULLET!

Seeing as how you'll likely be using yourself as a base model, does August 18th sound reasonable?

Prefix: *****FAME: &lt;Your Title&gt;
Due: August 18
For Display: August 19
Details: Put yourself in a photomanip or drawing as a "movie version" of some hero or villain that has yet to grace the screen. Remember, the costume should, to your discresion, work in a movie.
Remember the ***** in the prefix to ensure your pic doesn't get lost in the queue.

Isn't August 19th a thursday so there wouldn't be an update? Maybe they should be due August 19th for display August 20th? There's already the obscure character day on the 16th so you might want to space this farther away to friday the 20th.
