I got a phone call from Traz about 20 minutes ago while I was driving home from work. Lady Traz gave birth to Trazling #4 at 7:54 PM EST. The latest hellraiser ( :D ) is an 8 lb-15 oz boy measuring in at 20 inches long. He is, to quote Traz, "healthy as an ox." Unfortunately, Traz only had about 3 hours of sleep last night (Lady Traz had even less, I imagine) so he is officially crashed out right now. Additionally, things will no doubt be crazy for them for several days so he won't be making any sorts of visits to Cinescape to accept congratulations or offer details until Monday at the least (in my estimation). Who knows. I know his commute well (used to do 2/3 of it to get to GT when I was attending) and know that he is probably exhausted by that on a regular basis, not to mention all the stresses having a newborn brings. I wouldn't blame him if their routine for the next three months was he went from work to home, spent time with the fam, put the kids to bed and he and the wife crashed.

Congratulations, Traz!

The name thing may be my fault. If he did tell me, I forgot it. I honestly can't say whether or not he did but, given his tired state, it may have slipped his mind. I'll give him a call tomorrow and see if I can squeeze a name out of him.

Or we can suggest our own names for the baby, maybe they haven't thought of one yet and would like some ideas. Maybe they're so sleep-deprived they'd actually pick one!

So, young Throckmorton Q. Traz, welcome to the world! :D

Congratulations!!!!!!! Traz- your wife is a way tougher woman than me! 8lb 15oz! They'd have had to cut him outta me. Good work- and YAY!! I always liked Dominik. Dominik Traz. Or just Four. Four Traz.

You know I was just thinking last night "I haven't seen Traz post in awhile, even after I teased him with the Munchkin/Oompah thing...she must have given birth"

It's interesting when you base a person's posting habits, not on health or wellness or vacation, but childbirths.

CONGRATS to Traz and the Family! I wish you all the best!

*rubs eyes and types....*

Hello dudes. Mother and child are doing fantastic.
I finally brought them home earlier this afternoon.
And I am SO freakin' tired. I want to sleep.
But wow. The fourth time in the delivery room was amazing to say the least.
Her labor was all but less than 2 and a half hours after the water broke.
And that kid shot out like a cannon. It happened so fast!
I have much more to say, including my first taste of Guinness.
I'm going to bed now. My brain isn't allowing me to think of much more to type.

God bless you all and to all a good night.

ODJ? We need a sleeping smiley. With the letters "ZZZ" swirling over head.

Yeah. That'll be me in about 15 minutes.

Ciao. :smirk:

Throckmorton Q.? Wow does that name suck eggs.
I'm surprised no one thought of any other winning monikers-

Loomis
Eugene
Hershel
Archibald
Tor
Crom
Kronk

But nay. His name on his birth certificate is officially set with:

Nathan Aragorn

Yeah buddy. I got me a King of Gondor for a kid baby!
And he's sportin' the dark locks of hair good ole Strider had.
Thus far, mom and dudeman are doing awesome, and averaging
about 2 or 3 hours of sleep at a shot.

All the other Trazlings want a turn at holding him, and he has
this cool look in his face that constantly says "You've got to be kidding me" that cracks me up. Other facial expressions seem to
border on the following:
"Lord. What have you gotten me into."
"Just shut up and let's get this over with."
"Am I here to amuse you?"

Oh yeah. That's my boy. :D

I'm turning in now. I'll be lucky if I don't wake up till after midnight. And oh yes. Before I forget, the Guinness was AWESOME.
My Dad picked up the tab when he treated me to lunch at Porter Murphy's Restaurant & Alehouse. I had a pint and a half, and could not finish the rest. Good stuff. They weren't kidding when they said Bass Ale was a light snack, and Guinness was a MEAL. Alas, it put a smile on my face
on St. Patty's Day as I celebrated the new addition to my family.

Now my sights are set to try that Smithwicks. :smirk:

Nathan Aragorn. That's pretty awesome.

I laughed when I saw Archibald. The Artistic Director of the Edmonton Opera calles me Archibald, it makes no sence. Essentally its (kinda) like if we met your son and called him Throckmorton. He went to University with my parents.

Well good luck with the newborn, and the sleeping, and Guinness. Just don't get any of the two confused. i.e. try and drink and sleep, give the baby a guinness, try to drink the baby, etc.
