Relm by MaidenRaine1300- Interesting concept, though I gotta ask: how can someone who can kill with a kiss have SO MANY KIDS?!
Wonder-woman Rvp by Level1- A fairly spartan design, but good.
Storm by Majik1387- Hair in the face is such a pain. You get extra points just for working with it.
Doctor Von Doom Portrait by DarrenJSeeley- Pretty good. A little too soft textured for that particular subject.
A Self Portrait. by anaque- Cute.
Movie Elektra by DarkElektraPhoenix- Proportions seem a tad off, but you did good work with the hands and face, the two general problem areas of any artist.
Challenge: Ff Poster by Mshadow1023- Interesting design. Gotta say, though: Doom looks a little like the Wizard of Oz, big scary version.
Snow White by daekazu- Absolute favorite of the update. One of your best pictures, and perhaps the best art notes ever.
Superman Movie Poster(i Hope) by thepurplehippie- Good mix of media.
Arch Enemies: Part 1 by Junkyard- Nothing much to say on it. A somewhat wild story ensues from here, and I hope in advance that everybody likes it.
Shm - October 2004 by M- Some fun ideas here. A little rough around the hair.
The Ultimates by QuantumFX- A great piece. More colorful than the Ultimates usually are, I think. Keep in mind, that's a good thing.
Jsa 2 by MysticMorgan- Another good one. Don't see the problems you where having.
That 70s Legion - Invisible Kid by MilleniumBum- Another good one. Can't imagine him as a genius undercover operative, though.
Another Taylor As Diana by Captain Sigma- Besides being a little bright, I think this has some good effects to it.
Ghost Rider Sunset by KLA 1- Actually one of the better ones I've seen. Maybe some effects with his eyes... er, sockets would enhance the piece.

Thanks, Junkyard. I should have allowed her shadows to, from the shoulder part of her shadow to "crawl" up the "wall'd" portion of the background, to make it seem a real part of her character sprite. But, I didn't do that. But, either way anyone looks at it, whether I made it crawl up the wall or remain as it is, its still a fairly nice shadow layout.

Thank you. I thought about the eye thing and realized the comic has in fact allowed for facial expressions to be shown in this character. Somehow, I just couldn't do that with what should be unchanging bone, with all of those parts that we use for facial expression gone. I am anxious to see what they do in the movie.

Thanks Junkyard,
You have to know the whole story of how Rogue and Gambit had the twins. That would explain how they can have so many kids. LOL! If you want to read it, all you have to do is go to our group and take the link to our Children of X group and read the file on Lillix and Triumph. Thanks again for the compliments.

Just a quickie here because I'm in a lab.
Snow white: Awesome work, I absolutly love almost every 'original' re-working of fairy tales, and this is a great twist. A series would be fun, you could do Robin hood, Peter Pan, etc... You mind if I get this printed for my wall?
Ultimates: Darn it you stole my idea :O I've been wanting to do a big ultimates peice for a while, but have now been put off slightly because your image is very strong. There's a few areas where it doesn't quite hold together, but that's likely due to compression. A well deserved front page, and I look forward to your other pictures.

Relm by MaidenRaine1300
This is an interesting fascination with Rogue and Gambit that two of you have. How many kids have you created for them?
Wonder-Woman RVP by Level1
Mmmm… wallpaper.
Storm by Majik1387
I think this one is a step back for you compared to the last two of your posts. You did much better makeup and metal on the Emma Frost. Is this a newer piece?
Doctor Von Doom portrait by DarrenJSeeley
Only certain aspects of this one work for me. The chin looks real good and has a manufactured feel. The cheekbone and jaw screen left are also quite well done. The rest of the face is a little too loose for Doom’s mask. I think it needs to be a bit more symmetrical and some spots need to be better defined.
A self portrait. by anaque
The hair is real good and I like the glasses. The ears are a little misplaced but pretty good cartooning overall.
Movie Elektra by DarkElektraPhoenix
A good beginner effort. You may want to try your local library for some books on drawing the figure.
Challenge: FF Poster by Mshadow1023
Decent layout… A good effort on Johnny’s power. I like the gloves as well.
Snow White by daekazu
She aint so sweet no more. Great piece. The neck looks a little odd to me but not too much. Maybe if you used a softer line instead of the black one it wouldn’t draw the eye. Your influences make a lot of sense. She looks like a cross between Christina Ricci and Rose McGowen.
Superman movie poster(i hope) by thepurplehippie
This is good standard add type fare. I have to laugh at that picture of Dean Cain in costume because it has always looked like he is wearing a full adult diaper.
Arch Enemies: Part 1 by Junkyard
Funny stuff, I can’t wait for more. I love Welshies archenemy.
SHM - October 2004 by M
Yeah the new SHM is in… another funny one.
The Ultimates by QuantumFX
Great work… The layout is a little too crowed but it’s still awesome.
JSA 2 by MysticMorgan
Now when somebody specifically states that there are problems I look for them. I can’t find anything to call an actual problem. First of all that bugs me. What am I supposed to rip on you about? Talented Bugger! Second, this is a damn nice looking image.
That 70s Legion - Invisible Kid by MilleniumBum
Another good one. I like it. I don’t have any nitpicks either. Damn another one!
Another Taylor as Diana by Captain Sigma
Nicely done … she has a real Superfreinds kind of look.
Ghost Rider Sunset by KLA 1
Nice one… It’s a bit too dark, but I like all of the pieces that you have put together. The fire on the lower left portion of the wheel is the most realistic. The fire on the skull appears to be burning only on the back of his head. Still a good piece overall. *I take back the "It's a bit too dark" statement. Turns out it was my monitor. Sorry.
I just would like to add what a great mix of images this updates has. From beginners to accomplished artists all very cool. Thanks, I enjoy your work.

I didn't mean for this piece to be an actual Storm pic, just to give the idea of Angela as Storm because she's my choice. I just chose this pic because it made me think of Storm. I really didn't try with it.

storm: check out my hair tutorial in the art school for a different approach on hair. nice base pic, throw in some power effects.
doc doom: i like the intensity in the eyes. i think the mask could use some stonger lines....make it less flowing and more solid and square.
snow white: very nice. reminds me of the American McGee Alice series. very goth and dark....i like the apple. some beautiful colors...those blues are gorgeous.
arch enemies: frenchdog....how funny.
the ultimates: just plain awesome. what did you use to create the texture on cap? a shower drain or something....but whatever it is it looks great. i love the feel of the cap costume. love to know how you did the iron man suit...it looks superb. a very stong piece....well done.
jsa2: i wish my finished stuff looked as good as your shelved work.
wonder woman: very smooth selections. i like the subtle lighting. the face is a little hard to make out. i do think one of your stronger manips.

it was funny. i laughed, not out loud...but i laughed. okay, it was a chuckle mixed with a smirk, but i clearly remember i felt something called humor. smell that....that's sarcasm.
dan
seriously...it was funny. frenchdog....whats his power, the ability to surrender without any persuasion? seriously, i laughed...no wait...i didn't laugh in a serious fashion...i laughed, well that does conflict with my earlier chuckle/smirk combo. now i'm just being silly.
and yes....to clear up all of that....it was funny.

<I>Wonder-Woman RVP by Level1
I did this some time ago, of Alex Horley work. I decided to do a REVAMP (RVP) of this image, with some significant digital graphic detail reworking.
Placed her into a different graphic enviorment, and made some other adjustments. Brushed up on her details, character sprite and graphic frame in the norms of hue, saturation, and coloration balance. Added some shadowing to areas that were too bright from the original picture.</I>
Wonder-Woman RVP by Level1 (http://www.comics2film.com/DCG/DispArt.php3?f_id=16416&f_ssn=&f_fooble=2)
Alex Horley Wonder Woman (http://comicartcommunity.com/gallery/details.php?image_id=7970)
that tiara looks very similar to the tiara for your Vida Guerra as Wonder-Woman (http://www.comics2film.com/DCG/DispArt.php3?f_id=16271&f_ssn=&f_fooble=6) image. so are you sure that tiara was created in photoshop CS like you said on your post on 09/21? just seeing similarities in the two tiaras. that tiara was a striking piece in your Vida Guerra pic, and you said you did it in CS, so i thought it odd it was strikingly similar to this Alex Horley tiara....with the exception of the lens flare. i do have glasses so maybe i'm just seeing things. http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/smile.gif

I posted this on Heromorph yesterday when they banned him there:
The crown was crooked and I think it was copy and pasted from someone else's otherwise it would be on her head right."
Also as I said there: Nobody would have a problem with him if he would just say that he manipped a crown from the Alex Horley Wonder Woman instead of the isolation of her pixel sprite cells stuff.
[This message has been edited by Bill Turner (edited 10-08-2004).]

i saw the messages on HM about all the Level1 fiasco and i'm surprised that the guys over there felt that way. well not really surprised. it's just sad that he just can't get himself any respect anywhere. and it's infuriating that he called HM a "kiddie porn site". c2f will always be numero uno for me but calling a partner site like that is just low. people work hard for their art at HM and c2f. it's just downright disrespectful.

Dang, I didn't belive you, but you're right. Same thing, right down to the slight obtuseness at the base of the star.
He put up a fight, an insult, and an elaborite lie for WONDER WOMAN'S TIARA?????
CRIMINY!
And look, Level 1, I don't want to be rude here, but you don't need to embellish your pieces with exxagerations. Here I'm reffering to your
"with some significant digital graphic detail reworking" comments. Some of the people here know more about comic book charicter pictures and digital art than any 30 random comic book readers, and thus can take each of your pics apart pixel by pixel with their naked eyes and see exactly what was done and who it came from.
So seriously, if you had to function between bragging technobabble and self depriciating simplification, go for the latter.

being techno savvy doesn't make you superior or THE expert on something. it's the oldest trick in the book. you barrage us with your techno lingo, knowing fully well that most of us have no idea what you're talking about, making yourself feel important and authoritarian. and with HM banning you, you've brought it upon yourself by insulting their home.

Indeed I did. I should be sending the pic within an hour or so.
Also, though I don't generally get the details, I can get the jist of Level's art notes pretty easy. Example:
"Placed her into a different graphic enviorment" = "Cut and paste."
