2004 DCG Selfish Awards

well, hmmmm how should i put this? okay, i'm seeing a pattern in the ballots this year....most people are voting for themselves. i know, i know....i said you could....but do you also send yourself valentine's cards and birthday presents?

i'm not saying you can't vote for yourself. if you truly believe that your work is the best in that category, then cool vote for it, but please don't vote for it just because it's your art. and NO, you cannot revote, or have your ballots withdrawn. do you feel that....that's called guilt....i'm good at it.

with that said....GO VOTE.

i dont feel any guilt because my stuff is crappy so i didnt put it in the nominees. and i seriously wouldnt vote for myself anyway. and besides i already voted so theres no goin to put my name in the votes. and dont vote for me (I'M SERIOUS) even though u werent planing to. now vote for the right person to win!

Well, after disposing of the bodies, I was feeling guilty enough, and then I check the boards and see this!
Well, I can only feel slightly charinged, as i only voted for myself in the two areas I felt I had even a slim chance winning.

I actually did only vote for myself in the categories where I honestly thought my pic was the best. But I still ended up doing that in a few more categories than I felt comfortable with, so I do feel kinda dirty.

the purpose of the thread was not to make anyone feel bad. i was just noticing a trend, and it's going to make the awards a little off balanced. i'm already trying to figure out what to do. there are no clear winners, even with the extra turnout. if it doesn't work itself out, i'll let everyone know what happened and what's going on to resolve it.

Well, now I feel bad because I didn't vote for myself. If you need any suggestions on how to resolve this... just use my ballot 'cause it's clearly the best ever. Maybe I can win something for the "Best DCG Awards Ballot Ever".

if i discounted votes counted for themselves i could throw out entire ballots. i have a plan....it may delay the awards, but i think for the better. again...i will let everyone know if there is a change.
