Arch Enemies: Part Eleven by Junkyard- Ta-Da!
Rogue by Majik1387- Good pic, though I reccomend you work on defenition. (By which I mean sharper lines and colors where needed.
Alison Blaire A.k.a. Dazzler by MaidenRaine1300- Fun.
Batman Begins Poster by lightspeed83- This is quite good. Simple, but detailed.
Superman by spi- Nice.
Clown In Training by NightScroller- Joker going through puberty. THAT is scary. The skin is a tad too bright, but besides that, it's pretty good.
Costume: Max Rebo by kev_incal- Holy cow. That is a helluva costume.
Now That's A Hot Bird! by NightScroller- Very cool. I love the effects, though you should be more carefull in the cutout. There's still some white around the hair.
Dc Group Picture by KLA 1- Great piece here. It looks a bit painted in areas, but it works.
Superman Returns by Shade- Nice, though some of the pieces don't match well.
Panthers Claw by Captain_Marvel- While I have to admit your style doesn't grab me, you DO do great work.
Radiant Star by phonock- This is fun and a little creepy, to be honest.
Routhsupermanreturns by Temporal Dave- Not too bad, though if you spent more time on it...
Nightwing by X_Man- Pretty good, though I think the mask should have a few sharper edges.
The Question? by Winterhawk- Cool. The edges around the feet look a tad off, but besides that, it looks great.
Soulfire by ali786- Nice piece.

Actually, Prime Director isn't my concept, he's Robbo's.

Arch Enemies: Part Eleven by Junkyard
Look at that Bad@$$ Junkyard. Puttin’ the beat down on ol’ Graveyard. I like the transformation effect on PD.
Rogue by Majik1387
This is the first one where the casting makes sense beyond the singer concept. Rogue is a sassy southern gal and so is Kelly Clarkson. I am not seeing any real increase of effort on the execution however. If fact this one looks as though you spent little time on it at all.
Alison Blaire a.k.a. Dazzler by MaidenRaine1300
I like the casting, but am still waiting for you two to try new techniques to improve your work.
Batman Begins Poster by lightspeed83
Simple and cool, I like it.
Superman by spi
The proportions on this one are compressed, so that Supe’s looks dwarfy. This is generally caused when drawing with your paper tilted. In the future add some art notes.
Clown in Training by NightScroller
This is what the Joker would look like if he were a well-adjusted and attractive (if somewhat pale) young man. I don’t really get it.
Costume: Max Rebo by kev_incal
This is hilarious. I imagine that at whatever party you attended this was well received. You did attend a party, I hope.
Now that's a hot bird! by NightScroller
All of the elements are there, yet…there doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason for where her body parts stick out of the fire. If you had made the fire (other than the bird) with that in mind it probably would have been great.
DC group picture by KLA 1
I like how you push yourself to take on more and more challenging projects. The grouping is natural, but less than dynamic. I would like to see you take your time on a single character and really get the detail in the image. I think that it is well within your skill level to create smoother transitions of shade and tone.
Superman Returns by Shade
Well it’s good to see different picture of Routh used. The manip. itself is standard fare.
Panthers Claw by Captain_Marvel
The original has got to look spectacular; unfortunately its digital counterpart doesn’t do it justice. I think there a couple of things that would keep someone like Junkyard from connecting to this. First colored pencils just don’t look good digitally. This is a medium that requires smooth, smooth, extra smooth blends. Your hyper realistic anatomical style should be a natural translation. Second your layout is just too jammed (crowded) for this size of an image. It really looks like it should be on mural scale. I find your work to be really energetic and a blast to see. I hope there is a lot more in store for us.
Radiant star by phonock
Very cool, it’s like Mucha Lucha, meets Clutch Cargo.
RouthSupermanReturns by Temporal Dave
This one is better than your other Routh Supes. This is the most super I have seen this guy look. It’s the fine work you did on the blue eyes, I think, that does it for me.
Nightwing by X_Man
Simple but gets the basic idea across.
The Question? by Winterhawk
That’s him alright.
Soulfire by ali786
Awesome piece, it’s a great anatomical study and I love the wings. Beautiful.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, but somethings been bugging me. Everyone says I don't seem like I'm taking enough time on these. I do but I use a different program than everyone else for all my art. It's called Photostudio 2000 SE. Thanks for the feedback again.

Heyla Majik That is one of the reasons we ask for art notes so we can tailor our reviews more specifically to you.
Also I did a quick check for PhotoStudio tutorials and an article I found suggests that this program is similar in its overall effects (if not the way they are labeled) as the more expensive programs and also that there are tutorials in the manual that might help you out. If you don't have the manual I also found a link to where you can download it online. http://www.arcsoft.com/en/support/downloads/downloadview.asp?downloadid=124
Hope this helps

Thanks, yo. I appreciate the kind analysis' and the feedback, guys. Oh, and Junkyard... you're a smartass, (at least I hope you were being a smartass - cuz I ain't taking any longer on Routh). Awesome. Cheers.

Thanks Junkyard. As mentioned in the art notes a couple of parts were painted, Dawnstar's wings and the shadows on the floor, and Hawkgirl's headgear and mace in particular. I couldn't defeat that appearance in the wings.

Thank you Biohaz_Daddy (may I call you Biohaz?). Actually each of these figures was done separately, tubed, and then put into the larger picture. The size reduction and optimization for the DCG caused a very noticeable degradation of the image quality. I am working on some more individuals and will be posting the De La Garza/Wonderwoman separately from the others as well. Finding time is the biggest challenge.

select uir (sorry...allergy medicine makes me sleepy....and less likely to do a complete uir)
dc group picture: very cool. i really like the colors on everyone....very vibrant. very nice work....good art notes.
Panthers Claw: that is one busy piece...and is looks great. i like teh fact you picked villains you wanted to place in there....great job. it'a amazing to see a similar yet different style from some of your previous pieces.
the question: cool. i like the graininess. i think if you wanted to go the full old time detective feel, maybe go black and white, add some scratches to the pic, etc. i only have one real problem with the face....and it's the lighting on his left side. you have the darker lower chin area and then a lighter area above...wouldn't they both be the same? again, nice work....simple and effective, i wish more artists would remember that.

Better late than never.
Arch Enemies: Part Eleven by Junkyard- Very cool. And my nemesis makes a repeat appearance. Doubly cool and even more appropriate since my station decided not to air Saving Private Ryan because Spielberg insisted it be aired uncut and we didn't want the fine and our FCC license is up for renewal. http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/biggrin.gif
Rogue by Majik1387- Not bad but the overall piece still needs more detail (shading and highlight work) and the white hair is seriously painty and chunky looking.
Alison Blaire A.k.a. Dazzler by MaidenRaine1300- Nice casting choice. And good try on the star in Paint.
Batman Begins Poster by lightspeed83- Art notes please. Its a very nice layout but I'm mystified as to what you did.
Superman by spi- Nice piece. Other than the slight proportion issue Biohaz mentioned its a nice drawing but the lack of shading on his trunks makes them stand out oddly from the rest of the pic.
Clown In Training by NightScroller- Pretty good recolor if a bit overly bright on the white parts. But the very saturated necklace makes the slight muddiness of the jersey stand out more.
Costume: Max Rebo by kev_incal- I can't even image how would even begin to make a costume like that work. Uber cool.
Now That's A Hot Bird! by NightScroller- Interesting concept but there are a couple of things that I think would have made it stronger as Biohaz_Daddy mentioned there is no apparent rhyme or reason to the parts that are visible on her body and I would have prefered a more stylized bird form. The only other thing is it would have looked a bit more like she was within the flames if her skin had a red/orange glow to match the fire rather than the bluish tint she has now.
Dc Group Picture by KLA 1- Ambitious piece. And overall nicely done. There are some bits and pieces that don't work all that well but in an undertaking of this size. It would be cool to see each of these manips at full size with a bit more time spent to get the little details perfect.
Superman Returns by Shade- Not bad. The lighting is a bit wonky though, especially around the neck.
Panthers Claw by Captain_Marvel- Wow. That is a lot of stuff going on. And I like it. Its very busy but in a good way. I'm always in awe of someone who can work so well with color pencils. My fave in the pic has to be Photon
Radiant Star by phonock- Cool piece and I really like the style of the drawing.
Routhsupermanreturns by Temporal Dave- One of the better Routh as Superman manips I have seen so far. I really like the blue eyes. The only thing I can see is that his head seems a tiny bit oversized.
Nightwing by X_Man- Not a bad manip. More shading would make this better as it is the costume as a whole is rather flat.
The Question? by Winterhawk- Cool simple piece. Nothing to say that hasn't already been said better by others.
Soulfire by ali786- Cool painted feel to this. The only thing that doesn't quite work for me is the interface between the wings and the back. It seems a bit too soft. I think that there would be a more defined joint.

Thankyou kindly Shaylinn. That's a generous compliment. But yeh. It does seem that Routh's head has swollen with his recent casting success. Seriously, it was a matter of covering the large eighties hair-dome Reeve was sporting in the original pic. I was hoping the perspective hid the flaw - I guess not... I will not fail again

Thanks for the comments...I updated my Batman Begins poster with some information on its creation. I must say I enjoy all of the artwork that gets posted on the gallery. Some of the stuff is purely amazing. Keep up the good work all!
