Great list! I couldn't agree more with the nominees. Voting for just one is going to be tough.

A big thanks to Dan and the secret society of nominators for all their hard work http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/biggrin.gif

I think it's a great list of nominees, as long as everyone votes for me whenever possible. http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/biggrin.gif Seriously though, a great list. There's pics here that I never even considered first time around, so I'm glad the Secret Society of Super-Nominators brought them to my attention.

Dan, two questions and one minor spelling correction. First, when's the voting period? Second, is there a preferred format for ballots?

Oh, and my nomination for the 3D/Poser category has a typo, it should be "Anniversary." The R's missing.

Nice list of nominees. I'm surprised though that my Dragonfire pic keeps popping up so many times. I tell you the truth, these Iron Man pics I virtually sleep through!

hey, i just cast my vote last night and i wanted to officially say that i like this new voting system so much better. i wouldn't have had time to vote using the other system since my little freelancer life is so hectic. this new way of doing things really simplified the process and made it possible for me to participate.
good work! http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/smile.gif can't wait to see the results.

I'm gonna vote soon but I just thought I'd suggest perhaps sending an email to everyone who already voted before the nominees were chosen. For whatever reason they may not be aware of the updated changes.

Wow, I'm suprised I wound up in the most improved category. Just so the voters aren't misled that I went from Silverclaw to the Ultimates overnight here's a chronological list of my work created in Calendar Year 2004. (The other stuff is too old to consider.)
Black Canary - Jan 2004
SpiderGirl - Aug 2004
A-Next - Sept 2004
Ultimates - Sept 2004
Ben Browder - Green Lantern - Oct 2004
Green Lantern - The Double Life of Star Sapphire - Oct 2004

The Most Improved award is actually a lifetime award. It's the only category where the artist's whole body of work can be considered. Except for Zac's, anyway. http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/smile.gif

Well, selling your soul generally helps with those pesky emotions. Also, Botox.

In the meantime, we've run into some trouble with the caterers. Apparently someone forgot that you can't cater a virtual awards ceremony, made a phone call, and now I've got some very fruity people at my house asking me about low- carb options.

HEY! GET AWAY FROM MY KITCHEN! IT LOOKS THAT WAY ON PURPOSE!

Sigh. I'll get back to you guys later.

Chilantro? Are you sure? Okay, I'll try that next time I make pasta. And you're right- sweaters really do hide the pounds better than these button ups I've been wearing!

Oh, hi, everybody! Well, between Sean, Gary, and myself, I think we've worked something out. Expect a California- Style spring role and a light Baklava to arrive in your email on the day of the ceremony.

At this point we've got Billy Crystal to annnounce the winners, and Janet Jackson's gonna sing her rendition of "Superman," adapted as a Christopher Reeves tribute. Trygonez, Biohaz- Don't worry, it's safe to let the kids watch. She promised to stay "PG" this time. (And we've ordered a steel mesh straight jacket, so I don't think we need to worry.)

Trygonez, Biohaz- Don't worry, it's safe to let the kids watch. She promised to stay "PG" this time. (And we've ordered a steel mesh straight jacket, so I don't think we need to worry.)[/B]

Great! Now, I have to console two teenage boys. Do the censors ever think of that when they willy nilly decide a breast is dangerous TV viewing. I don't think so.

Oh, just let them read National Geographic and find pics of one of those "clothes optional" tribes, like normal teens do when they want to "sneak a peak!"
That's how they did things in my father's day, and by golly, that's how they should do it now!

By the way, Biohaz, have you gotten word back from "Lord of the Dance" on whether they can do a little show between "best colorist" and "best poser?"

For some reason we can't find NG. There seems to be a shortage in Wiscosin. You wouldn't know anything about that?

I spoke with Mr. Flatly, he had some concerns about his female lead (she has a minor injury and may not be able to perform), but when I told him Zac knew her whole number by heart he agreed to let him act as understudy.

Just so you know, I plan on having a wardrobe malfunction at the awards ceremony. What this malfunction shall be is a secret, but, just as a warning, those with bad hearts, high blood pressure, gingivitis or athlete's foot, as well as children under the age of 30, would do best to avoid direct eye contact with the aforementioned malfunction.

Just so you know.

You know, Britney was never as considerate as you.

Anyway, it's now official: Robbo has graciously agreed to do his often- celebrated number, "Ain't Got No Body!"

By the way, when exactly ARE the winners to be announced? The decorators won't leave till I tell them, and they're getting antsy.

I'm not sure when the winners will be announced, but let's keep the chit-chat down guys. Save it for the awards ceremonies

And the winners are................EVERYONE!

wow, that was corny. votes are in, they have been counted, and we have winners (in some cases there were ties) in all categories. i will post the winners on the night of 12/02 in anticipation of a reposting of winning images on 12/03. i had originally planned for a Q&A session, but we had a thread previously that really worked well for that, so i will bump it up. i will post the winner(s) and the runner up in each category. if you want to know where you ended up, you can email the dcgawards@yahoo.com address and i'll gladly send you the vote count in your respective category. i am not showing the vote count publicly due to the fact that some may not wish to see the actual results and are happy with just being nominated. this year due to all of the trouble i am telling you the amount of votes received. there were around 20 total ballots...throw in a few partial ballots here and there. this is the most votes received in the 3 times (last year, this year's crapped out awards, and this current one) we have done this. also, someone other than me has access to the account and can monitor it, eliminating a miscount or any devious acts that might cross my mind.

anyways....thanks for all of those who participated in voting, thanks to the nominees and winners for their great work, thank you to the panel members for sifting thru an entire year's worth of images, thank you to the admins, thanks to Robbo for this wonderful site and community, and most of all thanks to the DCG community for being such a great place to hang out.
