It still has that cheesy feel to it, but over all its not a bad show.
What do you guys think?

I'm a Dr. Who fanatic, so I'm going to like it no matter what. I wasn't too thrilled with last nights premier, but I think that the producers of the show wanted to reintroduce the Dr. to a new generation of people who aren't necessarily familiar with him. I heard from UK fans that the show gets better, so I'll reserve any judgement for now.

I would hope it had that cheesy feel to it, that's what made the series.:)
A little grouchy that they made him the last of his race. Wondering who wiped out the Time Lords. The Daleks? The Cybermen? Unless the Time Lords were a lot less powerful i don't see either being up to the task. Unless they got help from a traitor, say the Master.

Could someone please explain to me how one might wipe out a race that can travel time?

Hate to cross lines into another story, but everyone in the Star Trek galaxy thought the El-Aurians were "wiped out" too.
I don't remember the old series that well but wasn't he touted as the last time lord then too? I know over the course of the old series he ran across other time lords all the time but....

Most of you will like the New Doctor Who having all ready sceen all 13 ep's. I like them the SFX are far better in this new series.
In Ep 6 Dalek it tells what happened to The Time Lords

I don't think they were ever touted as any sort of "time-Lord". In fact, all I remember is that they lived to 700 or more years and had some heightened sense or a sort of prescience. And, if I remember right, it was their planet that was destroyed, but there were still some of them roaming about the universe, so they weren't totally wiped out.

In the Old Series even the ep The Three Doctors They say they are Time Lords because one called Omega gave them the power to travel though time

What about Tom Baker's companion, Romana? She was a timelord and if I remember she went off to stay in something called E-Space or something, but she was alive when she left.

The DOctor wentr back to Gallifrey several times and it was inhabited by both Time Lords and non-Time Lord Gallifreyans. If I was the COuncil I would have banned him permanently from the planet because every time he visited one of the Council either turned out corrupt or was killed.:)
