Getting things started.
X3 Havok... I like the effect. It has the added benefit of obscuring most of the rest of the image from critical view.
Gambit- For me the photo face demands more realism to the rest of character.Sorry.
Hercules... The earlier post looked better. Sorry. Notes?
Fantastic Four .... The layout has potential. Practice with your program.
Tigra in NY ... One of mine. The edges on the fur got a bit blurry in file shrinkage. Any other problem is from me.
Pop Superman .. Good Job
Catwoman..... Cool pic, but the eye portion of the mask is a bit crooked in relation to the face, and the left hand blurry. The nature of these problems confuses me as the rest of the pic seems “purrrrrrfect” to me.
Original concept: Avatar ... Gorgeous piece but how about telling us what you did here? Notes?
Some of us may be able to learn more from the more proficient among us if told how you did your work.
The Legion pt2 - Shikari ... Great work. How about telling us what you did here? Notes?

Spitfire #12 .... That is a lot of work. Very good work. My turn to nit pick. The left hand of Spitfire looks unfinished (as compared to her right) and the curve at the top of the nose line looks out of sync with the shading that it leads to at the right eye. In the scope of the overall picture these don’t amount to much of a problem. .
Chapel .... This could look cool when you finish it. Need notes.
1+ ... Cool pic. Very bright. My experience here with the DCGers, tells me you should expect a comment or two about color saturation level.

X3: Havok by NightScroller
Not a lot going on as far as manipping is concerned. The power effect looks okay in relation to the rest of the manip. I don’t buy into the casting either. Van der beek is a more likely candidate for Cannonball.
Gambit by MaidenRaine1300
Maybe it’s the small size of the picture, but the quality of the drawn bits looks much improved to me.
Hercules by the uatus
This is a good base pic for the subject. This image needs further development however. You could work the shading or perhaps add some texture.
Fantastic Four by Majik1387
The drawing has a nice primitive feel that I like. The background, I am assuming you found on the web, works well here despite the stylistic differences. In my opinion the Torch works the best and is a nice unique design. The layout is a bit forced and lower screen left weighted when it really calls for a greater symmetry. I’d like to see you explore further into this style.
Tigra in New York by KLA 1
I love it. The colors are rich and vibrant, and the fur texture is believable. I do have one nit though… The bikini top screen right side would have looked more attractive if it curved up around her body rather than down. This is a fantastic image nonetheless.
pop superman by k-man
This is another fine example of pop art for the fans. Kind of full circle at this point for the form inspired by the comic style. My only complaint is your choice of cyan as the background color. It’s just a little too optically intense on a CRT.
Gotham Penn – Catwoman by bearbot
Great image.
ORIGINAL CONCEPT: AVATAR by show_u_who_i_am
Fantastic lips… This is a nice looking image without any real flaws.
The Legion pt2 – Shikari by bathori
WOW! This pic is a demonstration of where super hero photomanippers want to go. I saw the full size image over at Boldcomics.com and at that size there was almost too much detail. Awesome!
Spitfire #12 Cover Colors by Shaylinn
I like this, but I see one really big problem. It’s her dress. Why solid flat black? Having seen what you can do I have to wonder why you didn’t choose something a little more interesting.
Chapel by X_Man
This image deserved a little more attention, but the casting is perfect.
1 + by Daniel Zarco
I guess that I am the one to complain about the over saturation of color. I almost could have forgiven it here since: the work is well done, it would work well in print, and it suits the character. If it wasn’t for KLA’s mention and the pain in my eyes http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/eek.gif I would have let it go. Color saturation seems to be tricky. You have to bear in mind that these are mostly to be viewed on some type of device omitting it as light. At some point these highly saturated colors become physically uncomfortable. This is particularly the case in the closer a color is to its true hue. All that said I really like the great things you have done with this image like the background, and costuming.

I don't know why I did it, I don't know why I enjoyed it, and I don't know why I'll do it again.

The nit picks are why I post and since I do it turn about is only fair play. That said..Thank you I knew something was slightly wonky about the nose area but after staring at the pic for so long I couldn't figure out what it was.

Unfortunately I only added the colors on this the black was already solidly inked so there was nothing I could do to change that... my personal choice would have been to have some areas where I could shade it but I can only work with what the artist gives me.
Back in a bit for a UIR

Thank you Biohaz... As to the bikini top, I left the position as it appeared on the original photo, just re-colored it. Thanks again. Kevin.

Well I guess 24 hours later counts as a bit... http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/wink.gif
X3: Havok by NightScroller -- Nice power effect. The melding of James head onto Logan's body is a bit dicey though. His head seems either a bit too large or a bit oddly placed on the neck. A quick way to check size like that (at least for me) to set the head I'm adding at about 50% opacity over the original head first then line up major features like eyes and nose to get it into the ballpark then change the opacity back to 100% and make final adjustments.
Gambit by MaidenRaine1300 -- The lack of solid black shading lines really helps with this. The only nitpic I have on this one is that there is something weird going on with his legs below the knee. Either you can't make out the separation between back and front leg or the one visible leg is a bit too wide.
Hercules by the uatus -- Same basic issues I had with the Old Hercules you submitted prior to this one. The edges of the pic are pretty jagged and the costume doesn't really follow the body line very well.
Fantastic Four by Majik1387 -- There are some anatomical issues with the drawing but I really like the coloring on this. Dr. Doom definately the most stand out part of the image. I also like the way Thing came out
Tigra in New York by KLA 1 -- Nice one and a tough subject. Major kudos for even trying a fur texture. And I think its well done and would be better if it wasn't compromised by the compression.. The only nitpic I have on this one is the black stripes are a bit too uniform for my personal tastes. I would have prefered to see a bit of thinning to the ends of the stripes and a slightly thinner stripe on the arms.
pop superman by k-man -- Another sweet pic and again I really like the tight focus of the framing.
Gotham Penn – Catwoman by bearbot -- Awesome base pic and wonderful texture on the Cat's suit (sorry had to go for the pun there) http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/wink.gif The two minor nitpicks I have with this one are the very blurry screen right/her left hand and I'm not sure exactly what it is but the goggles and face look a bit wonky in relation to the rest of the body. I'm not sure if it is the way the goggles are sitting on her head or the actual angle and postion of her head.
ORIGINAL CONCEPT: AVATAR by show_u_who_i_am -- No art notes. Same critque as the rest of your pieces. In this one the eye color is so hyper purple it really seems unnatural.
The Legion pt2 – Shikari by bathori -- Gorgeous costuming work. I second KLA1's request for art notes. The two tiny nitpicks I have are that the wings are almost too subtle. Since I am not familiar with the character I only noticed them where they overlap the Legion edge. The second is that the lighting/highlights on the costume seem to be direct forward and the lighting on the face seems to be more from screen left.
Spitfire #12 Cover Colors by Shaylinn -- Mine. The artist who has me color these really LOVES to do detailed pieces and I swear I'm a glutton for punishment. http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/wink.gif
Chapel by X_Man -- Art notes please. The wrist bands don't really look like metal and the face mask(?) is really flat from the desaturation.
1 + by Daniel Zarco -- Nice piece and I hope your hand is doing better. I do have to agree that the red is a bit overhelming. If there were a bit more dark shades on the red part it would make that red stand out as a highlight like the gold/white parts are on the other part of the costume. It also might not have been so overwhelming if the background weren't the same bright hues. That said I really like the gold of the costume and the mask.
