I was just noticing that it doesn't seem like a lot of chatting here. Maybe I'm not in the loop.
1. Is it considered ok to post work at other sites such as Heromorph? Part of me thinks it is, but another part feels like I'm cheating on C2F.
2. Do alot of you prefer one site to another? I've noticed that Heropmorph seems to have more 'going on' Maybe I'm wrong but is the DCG just an addendum to C2F whereas Heromorph is a site strictly for Manips? I'm just curious.
3. To Junkyard, are you still gonna do the ressurection project?
4. What can I do if I have a specific question about a Manip on technique or whatever directed to the artist? New post or email them if they have an address?
I'm sure alot of you are busy so if you have the time to answer me I would appreciate it. Oh and I meant "thoughts" in my topic line.

A lot of folks post here and at Heromorph and Boldcomics. I spend more time reading C2F during the day due to the adult gallery at Heromorph.
As for questioning the artist... Obviously, this depends on the artist but, I know I prefer e-mail. My SBC Yahoo Photo gallery is maddening to use so attaching files is the better option for me.
1. Yeah, thats more than fine. It's your art, you have the right to put it whereever you want http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/smile.gif
2. DWell, I, myself am loyal to none other than C2F. I don't have anything against Heromorph or anything, I just hang out at C2F and thats really about it. The reason we don't seem to have a lot 'going on' I guess is the lack of the chatting you mentioned, and thats in part because of me. I've been the moderator here for years and I just try to keep it orderly. We used to have a 'No Topic' thread, but it got really out of hand and people just posted in and no where else, thus taking the reason of this forum away. I think we have a good community here despite the lack of 'chatting', and I know a lot of artists communicate through IMs and e-mail.
4. Typically I find it best to e-mail them directly if they have their e-mail address available. If not, it's fine to post a question on here.

3- WHO TOLD YOU ABOUT MY RESSURECTION PROJECT?!! DAMN YOU, DON'T YOU REALIZE THAT WE NEED NOT BE CONFINED BY GOD'S LAWS WHEN WE OURSELVES ARE NEAR UNTO GODS?!
Oh, uh... hehe... You, uh, meant the Ressurection theme day?
Well, I'd like a few more participants before I set a date. If we don't get any, I'd just suggest making it individual of a theme day.

My online Home is Heromorph, But I enjoy both sites. I might be biased though since I am a site Admin and Moderator over there.
I do post my art here at C2F as well as a few other sites (like Bold Comics). When things are slow, I even do a uir or 2.
I know a lot of members of this site come to Heromorph and we come here. It is not a big deal, it is up to each person. We welcome anyone over the age of 18 to join our ranks.

Yeah, I spose I should just spit out what I'm really thinking. Please observe that I'm not trying to act like I'm above the highest morals (I've been around the block a few times) but I find some of what is on Heromorph a tad, just a tad, offensive. Yes I know I don't have to go to the Adult Gallery and I also know to each his own. Aside from that the site is great with great work being posted, ie. Dodge and Burn award winners. And although some of the Adult Galleries cover manip such as Archie can be humorous, the thought of my child hood heroes and such engrossed in sexual acts is to much for me. I'm not a stuckup, Amoral shrew, believe me, I'm just not to keen on the sexual stuff. Now please don't reply with harsh "well, then don't go to that site" or "well, aren't you just to good for us". Look, I'm just voicing MY opinion, I really don't care what anyone else does. Heromorph may just be the Manip site for the older crowd, while C2F caters to all ages. Ok, let me just get down off this soapbox, ah, ok. Sorry. Thanks to you all who replied. Winterhawk, when is your website gonna be up? Zac I understand about the forum situation, no problem. One last thing, I am in no way slammin' Heromorph, not at all. Or the artists who choose a racier avenue, the nudity is fine just the sex is kinda...you know.

Don't worry, Force. Those are fairly common feelings. The more adult content at Heromorph is one of the things that probably keeps a lot of the C2Fers away.
By our defentions, I'd just say it's intrinsic. Most of us at C2F have a deeper respect for the comics, and we especially want to see comic charicters in movies. And we really can't imagine Hollywood making any comic book movies adult.
Wonder Woman- I'm sorry, Batman: It looks like I don't have the money to pay for this pizza.
bucka-chi-wow...
So yeah, basically it comes down to this: If you find Heromorph offensive, don't go there. I'm sure the posters there understand.

I like both places but i do prefer heromorph. There seems to ba a larger number of "regular" posters there (in terms of the MB's) I've also re-discovered alot of "old-time" manipers (like Black Alchemy) i used to talk with years ago, before i dropped out of the scene for a while. I have also found the mod's at Heromorph to be extemely fast with helping out and/or answering questions.
There is also the added bonus of the instant posting (at larger sizes) at heromorph...a pic goes up there as soon as you post it, of course this is also a downside, as a pic can get lost on a busy day at heromorph (unlike here where you can be sure to see you're pic for at least a full day).
The comments systems both here and there have thier advantages and flaws.....

Boldcomics.com does not allow sexual acts or nudity on our site. We are designed alot like Heromorph since we both use the same PHP program. We even have links on the home page to both C2F and Heromorph and Heromorph is our partner site they have supported us from the beginning and are a great group. Winterhawk is a great person and we appreciate all that he has done for us. The group at heromorph post images on Bold Comics and we post on Heromorph and C2F. Anyway the best thing an artist can do is get his or hers work out there for the public to see, so I try to post to all three as much as I can, and I suggest that everyone else should do that same.

C2F is family friendly, Bold Comics is Family Friendly, SHH is family friendly, Ubergirls is somewhat family friendly.
Heromorph was created to be the adult fan artist community. We are not family friendly and we don't try to be. I wouldn't let my kids have an account there. I don't make adult manips, it is not my thing. But the adult gallery is why you have to be 18 or older to join, there is some really off colour things in there as well as some really cool things.

So, if you are not "trying to act like I'm above the highest morals" then what, exactly, are you trying to do? Pardon me, but what a load of cobblers.
Yes I know I don't have to go to the Adult Gallery and I also know to each his own. And although some of the Adult Galleries cover manip such as Archie can be humorous, the thought of my child hood heroes and such engrossed in sexual acts is to much for me.
And yet, here you are bitching about it. You are saying you disapprove of the Adult content at Heromorph, regardless of how much you deny that is what you are saying. Sheesh. What, exactly, are you trying to accomplish here? Just a random bitch, or something more concrete, like "hey, everybody who agrees with me: here is your chance to ring in and say how much you don't like the Adult content at Hermorph." Oh brother. Let me guess, you voted for Bush this election based on "Moral Values", right?
I'm not a stuckup, Amoral shrew, believe me, I'm just not to keen on the sexual stuff.
Does saying that make it not true? If you are not, why did you post this?
Look, I'm just voicing MY opinion, I really don't care what anyone else does.
Again, this is a false statement. If you did not care, why post this thread at all?

You are like the salesman who tells me there is nothing wrong with the car on his lot, when it is obvious that there is something wrong. You say you are not slamming Heromorph, yet the content of your post is obviously a slam on Heromorph. Saying it is not does change that fact.

Whoa, let me collect myself here. After reading Bikerbot's post I had to laugh to myself because when I wrote the above post I just knew that it was gonna piss off someone and that someone just happens to be the Administrator, Moderator and contributor to the Adult gallery. So I got someone high on the rank order a little upset. Well, tuff. I didn't write that to piss anyone off. I'll be happy to explain myself to you Bikerbot, whether you accept what I say is up to you. If I WAS trying to act high and mighty then I would not have bothered to compliment on the Heromorph site or have even ventured into the Adult Gallery. As far as bitching about it, right. Hey if I wanted to bitch about it I would have been less tactful and more of a jerk. What I was trying to accomplish was getting to know others here, by seeing how others felt about what I was thinking. I put myself on the line with an opinion, a very dangerous and provocative one it looks like, and I get slammed for it. I feel almost like you are trying to censor me. And no I didn't vote for Bush or anyone, not that it is your business. I did serve under his daddy in the first Gulf War though, does that make me a bad person too? You do not know me or anything about me. Likewise, I don't know you from adam. If I don't care to see comic book characters engaged in hard porn acts then I don't. But I am all for everyone having their own opinions and their own beliefs and their own likes and dislikes. I'm easy going, try to give others their space and don't judge anyone. I haven't judged you or any other artist for expressing themselves. Art in all forms is an expression of oneself. Just because I don't care for some forms of art, does not in any way mean I don't respect those forms. I said I don't care what anyone else does, I didn't say I don't care what others have to say about it. I was trying to emphasize that this was just my opinion and I really didn't want people taking it wrong. You could have been just as tactful with your comments instead of getting so emotional about it and taking it so personally. Just exactly how was I slamming Heromorph? I said that it had very good contributing artists, some of whom are very talented. Including yourself. I would be interested to know if anyone else felt I was slamming Heromorph. Why if I am trying to fit in to a community here and very new at it all, would I try and ruffle feathers? Why would I slam a site that is partners with C2F and other sites? I know, I'm looking for enemies. Come on, I merely was voicing my opinion on something and trying VERY hard to do it with some tact, in order to just hang out and get a feel for what others are thinking and doing. It's not like I'm best friends with anyone here, I don't have anyone's phone number or email address. I can't just say "hey, dude, what do you think about this crap or that crap"
Let me finally say for the record that I AM NOT SLAMMIN' HEROMORPH OR ANY OF IT'S CONTRIBUTING ARTIST FOR ANY WORK. I enjoy Heromorph and most everything there. It wasn't a big deal, just trying to get a feel for what kind of people I'm talking to. Just because you or someone else manips two characters having sex, does not mean I have no respect for you or them. I have no reason not to respect anyone here or over at Heromorph. Winterhawk's post was a typical response I was actually looking for. He replied with respect and tact and told me that the sites in question were family friendly or not and that Heromorph was created with adults in mind. Like he said some off color things and cool things. I agree entirely. And also like I had asked in the opening topic, why does it seem like more is going on over at Heromorph, bathori responded with his post. Again, everyone but you replied with some respect. The tutorial from Black Alchemy has really helped me and I respect his work, even if he manips adult oriented pix. So, Bikerbot, I hope you accept my answers and if you feel I owe you or Heromorph an apology, well then I apologize. If you would rather I didn't visit Heromorph or post art there in the future, then just tell me now so I don't waste anyone's time later on. I would be honored to show my lame work on your site.lol. Seriously, I don't need enemies.
Hey Jab, I'm sorry that you didn't get that Red Rider Beebee Gun that you wanted for Christmas, but you don't have to get all pissy on people here for it.
Seriously man, chill. Force was in no way attacking Heromorph, he simply voiced his opinion on HM and the adult galleries. He doesn't like them. I don't like the idea of adult galleries for superheroes either and I don't care to say so, however I still think HM is a great site and if some people take an interest in that stuff, then thats fine. However, myself and Force simply do not share that interest, and thats all there is to it.
So before you haul off and slam another member of this message board, think that perhaps not everyone on Earth has ill-intentions guised behind their words.

And thus began the great C2F/Heromorph War of the 2000's. Lines were drawn, brother went against brother. Many a good manipper was lost.
War is Hell.
I call for a fifteen minute wait between the writing of the next reply and the posting. Get a sandwich, meditate, juggle. Then go back to it.

I don't think it's a war at all. C2F and HM are good pals in-general. But then you have someone come in looking for a fight, but thats not representative of everyone.

Ok, I may have overreacted, and if I did so, I apologize.
But let's analyze what you are saying here, and then you might better understand my ire. How is saying what you said help you get to know others better? All you seem to have done is piss off some dual members from both sites. This allows others to get to know you better (and not necessarily in a good way), but how does it help you?
Allow me to reverse things: How does everyone feel if I say this-
"I think the Members Gallery at Heromorph is great! Nothing like a little porn to clean the old pipes, eh? Gosh, I sure am disappointed that they don't have something here just like they have there. Don't you all agree?"
What do you reckon the response around here to what I just said is going to be?
And yet, I don't say those things. Because I respect what C2F is, I do not require it to be something it is not. It was this way before I got here, and so be it. There is room for all things in this world, so why stir the pot?
I think you are speaking from both sides of your mouth.
I would be interested to know if anyone else felt I was slamming Heromorph.

Look pal, you're overreacting. I read the topic over at HM and I can understand why people are getting a bit POed, but Force has said that he means no harm toward HM in his words and I believe him. Force simply stated his opinion, that he doesn't like the porn images. He didn't say that people who like them are stupid, or that people that do them aren't real artists, he expressed his opinion and he's being slammed for that. If you guys want to complain about him at HM, thats your and your moderators' decisions and it's cool no matter what you do. However, persisting at this when Force has apologized for what I feel he shouldn't have to apologize for is only going to strip C2F and HM of any friendship we have.
I'm just gonna close this thread because this is a done deal and doesn't need to go on anymore. Sorry Force.
