I scanned an article from a magazine into my computer and was eager to share it with others in the 007 forum but I don't know how to go about this.
Can I attach a document to a posting?
When I try the "insert image" button, it asks for a URL... not sure how that works.
I'm usually more computer savvy than this. Any help will be appreciated.
When you write a new post, you see a list of "rules" at the bottom of the window, one of them being "You may not post attachments" - at least that's what it says for me. So you won't be able to post that file as an attachment.
The "insert image" button implies that the image will actually be displayed as a part of the post. For that, you first of all need the image in a format that can be displayed as a part of a web page, e.g. GIF or JPG. PDF won't work at all that way. If you have the document in GIF/JPG format, you need to upload it to some web space (e.g. photobucket.com), and then you can use it with the "insert image" button.
If you can only use the PDF format, then you need to upload it somewhere else from where people can download it. In that case, you just post the URL to wherever you uploaded it.
