CNN.com story (http://www.cnn.com/2006/SHOWBIZ/TV/03/20/television.fox.reut/index.html)
The Fox network has ordered two more seasons of "The Simpsons," its 18th and 19th, and one more of "King of the Hill," the show's 11th.
While this is a good thing, Simpsons just isn't the same anymore. I was watching last night, and didn't even mind that it was interrupted coming back from commercial for weather bulletins. I got it on tape, but I was playing a game and didn't even realize it.

I thought last nights was actually a pretty funny episode. It was better than a lot of the other new episodes. I dont' really care for either of those shows anymore. I'm more interested in what happens with Family and American Dad.

Bang! Bang! One Two Three Four!

The show is not nearly as funny or politically biting as it used to be, but damn, that episode a couple of weeks back had me on the floor. Real good stuff.
I can't believe "King of the Hill" is still on the air. That show should have been smothered to death years ago. It's thoroughly unfunny. Like hairy goat balls unfunny.

You know, I thought King of the Hill had been canceled years ago. As in 6 or 7 years ago. Meanwhile, Futurama was never given a chance to shine.

I always think the same thing when I realize that they are making new episodes of King of the Hill. It had it's moments but it was never anywhere near as good as Futurama.

Well, Futurama is being given another chance. I heard that Groening and Co. are in the studios right now working on 4 (count em, 4) DTV movies for Futurama. If those do well maybe Fox'll pick it back up. Honestly though, I think new eps should be shown on Adult Swim, they're the ones who have kept it alive all this time (I felt the same way about Family Guy). Also, did American Dad get quietly cancelled? They put that stupid new "Free Ride" show after Family Guy. Fox really needs to put its Sun schedule back to "Simpsons," "Arrested Development," "Family Guy," and "American Dad." I'd watch it more.

I hope the DTV movies go well. I'd like to see them maybe push the edge a little, like Family Guy did with The Stewie Griffin Story. Either way, more Futurama is always a good thing.
Not sure about American Dad. It was getting better, rather than being a FG ripoff. I think they are just testing the new show.

I'm hoping they're testing the new show, which in my opinion is getting poor grades.
I agree that American Dad was really starting to hit its stride lately and developing its own personality aside from Family Guy.
I've heard the stuff about more Futurama stuff and I'm happy about it and cant' wait to see it. It would be nice if Adult Swim could get new episodes instead of Fox because they are much better about sticking to their schedule and showing what they're supposed to.
