im sure this has come up before but im new here so I dont know.
I think its a bit silly to even think that Batman could beat Superman.
Couldn't Superman just stand there and let Batman punch, kick, and throw batarangs at him all day long without it even bothering him at all. I would think Superman could just give Batman one good punch in the face and splatter his head off. I would think that Superman can punch pretty dam hard. Superman could use his super speed and strenght to beat him to death before he even gets his hands up. Batman is just a smart guy that knows how to fight. Superman could stand across the street and just freeze him to death with his freeze breath or cut him in half with his heat vision.
Batman might have some Superman repelent in his utility belt. http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/biggrin.gif

I suppose all that could happen if Batman didn't see Supes coming for him. But in a pre-arranged battle, Batman wins. Not only because is he prepared for anything, but he will cheat if he has to.

But How??
There is no way Batman could just beat him up.

Bats is the man and he friggin rich .He already has a secret stash of Kryptonite just incase ol supoes gets out of hand. he trusts no one. so he'd make some kryptonite brass knuckles and being the better fighter (skill wise) He'd kick supes big red S all over the place.he's always prepared so you know there is always a slive of that stuuf with him .

Did you guys see that show where Batman tracked the Joker to Metropolis and ended up fighting Lex Luthor and even Supes himself? It was a great one. I loved it when Superman used his x-ray vision to see Bruce Wayne behind the Batman mask and then Batman put a tracer on Superman and followed him home to discover he was really Clark Kent. It was very well written, pitting the Batman's wits against the power of Superman.

It's called worlds finest you can get it on dvd. It's also called the batman superman movie . It introduced the new series switch over from the adventures of batman and robin to batman superman adnentures, first they played the last son of krypton , then worlds finest.

People are saying, "Oh, Batman can beat Superman up with Kryptonite." Yeah, if by beat up you mean "hold a rock in front of him until he dies". The only way a fair fight between Batman and Superman would happen is if they did it under a red sun world.

That wouldn't be fair at all. The world's greatest martial artist/fighter against a powerless guy whose relied on super-strength and speed his whole adult life. That would be a fate worse than kryptonite.

Just make it an Orange sun... then he has his powers somewhat...
Do not listen to what I say...

I agree completley. Superman has hade zero martial art training seeing how he never needed it with the ability to life tons and run faster then a speeding bullet. So then you through helpless Clach kent in aganist The Batman. Talk about unfair.
But in a fight with Batman fighting Superman I think Superman would win. Some may say that Batman would radio Robin, Batgirl or Nightwing to drop a Krybtonite bomb on Supes or shoot him with a Kryptonite bullet but that would mean that Batman knew this fight was going to happen in advance and if he knew of this in advance then so did Superman and i think Superman would expect an attack like this and be ready for it. Besides Superman could hear Robin, Batgirl or Nightwing flying the Batjet ready to frop the bomb or shoot him from a mile away.

What are you talking about? Just because he doesn't have super-powers doesn't mean he's not strong! Have you forgotten the time he boxed Lex Luthor on Lexor? Or his adventures as Nightwing in the Bottle City of Kandor? Or when he fought Muhhamed Ali? He still maintains his strong muscles on worlds with a red sun, it's just their not superpowered. Superman is strong, even for a yellow sun powered Kryptonian.

Strong doesn't count against Batman unless he's Bane strong.

there' no way to make it a fair fight. Superman under and any circumstance has no chance I believe the score is Batman 2 superman nil when they go head to head.

Batman is always prepared for a fight with Superman. ALWAYS.
He has strategies for taking down Superman(just in case he has to) that Superman would never have seen coming. Batman knows exactly what to do.
Yeah, if by beat up you mean "hold a rock in front of him until he dies".
No, I think he meant hold a rock in front of him and kick his lilly ass all over the place until he dies.
Batman is unlike any villain Superman has ever faced. Mostly because he's a hero but... He's the most dangerous human being alive. Far more dangerous than Lex Luthor. While it's still a close call, I think Batman could beat Superman, red sun or no.
P.S. Worlds Finest kicks butt. I love it. Written very well the way Batman and Superman had a sort of grudging partnership filled with tension because of their different methods. I also like how in their first meeting all Batman has to do is whip out the Kryptonite and Superman was completely at his mercy. Batman was prepared.
Watch the Justice League Movie too. When all the super heroes get taken out, Batman is the only one who can save the day. And he does.

I guess they were looking at going for a "Dark Night Returns" version of superman and batman fight-wise. That worked well.

But hes not boxing Batman hes in a no rules fight. Clark may be strong even as a human but its not fair to through him in aganist the Batman. Bats has his hole utility belt to throw at Clark not to mention his Martial arts fighting.
