That`s what comes out from film sites, that the biggest hack after Mickeal Bay and Bret RATner is in the lead to direct. For God`s sakes will Time Warner never learn? What`s with them always returning to second-rate directors when there`s a gazillion of incredible talents that could take their franchise to unparaleled creative heights and success? The way i see it, the executives want the movie to be done their way, they probably have a script, they want that script to be filmed as it is and that`s that. So the director doesn`t matter.

If they don`t want an artist for a director that`s fine but they could have at least get someone with an actual talent: i`m thinking about a director like Rob Marshal who just did Chicago. He took something that was already there on stage and made it work for the screen, by giving us a highly entertaining piece of filmaking. If they want a light commercial action-adventure film with visuals nice for the eye, at least get this guy, not the step-sons of Jerry Bruckheimer.

I guess that could mean a Charlie's Angels type Superman. Which would not be good.

It's good, in a way. I'd rather see three hot women than a spandex-wearing Matthew Bomer or Josh Hartnet any day.

If so, he could set Superman in the East End of London, with Lex Luthor an East End Gangster, and Lois Lane an Essex girl. The Kents wouldn't be farmers but market stall sellers. Vinnie Jones could play Superman.
