They released the first season of Batman, but when are they going to release Superman? and also are they making anymore, my guess is we are lucky if they continue with Justice League.

Also, maybe my memory is off, but I remember a Superman cartoon when I was younger. It was a few years after Super Friends. I remember the artwork was much better, but I don't know how it was compared to today's standards. It only lasted a season or two. Anyone else remeber it?

There was a Superman cartoon back in 1988 that was pretty good, but only lasted for about two months. Is that the one you mean?
Either way I can only partially remember a couple of episodes. Im one Superman gets tricked into causing an alien egg to hatch with his X-ray vision and in the other he's forced to play baseball against a bunch of robots.

Yeah, it was called simply "Superman" and ran on Saturday mornings on CBS for one season from 1988-1989. I think there were maybe 13 episodes total. What was cool about the 1988 cartoon was that it was the first to adapt the post-Crisis origin of Kal-El and did a decent job.

That cartoon was the bridge between the Hanna-Barbara "SuperFriends" era of 1970s-early 80s and the Timm/Dini "Batman/Superman/Justice League" era of the 1990s-present.

Hopefully they release the complete series on DVD sometime.
