I think I'm kinda in denial about this. He was a superhero, they usually come back don't they? I'm half expecting to suddenly hear that four new versions of Christopher Reeves are gonna show up.

Anyway, really a shame.

Also, anyone else remember him in Noises Off? That was a hilarious movie. That and Superman are my favorite movies of his.

For bringing a legend to life ...

For making us believe a man can fly ...

For refusing to give up ...

For being an inspiration ...

Thank you, Christopher Reeve. Rest In Peace.

It's a sad day. But his legacy of hope WILL outlive him.
Rest in peace, Mr. Reeves.

He taught us to believe that a man can fly

and made us believe that one day he would walk.

In doing so he transcended being Superman

and became a super human.

Peace be with you Christopher Reeve.

I was saddened to hear this. I was just talking about Reeve last night after watching Smallville. I was thinking that, had he been able to walk again, he could have even played Jor-El on Smallville instead of Dr Swann. Now he won't be playing either. Did he ever film another episode of Smallville apart from that 2nd season episode?

I didn't believe it when I heard about it. It was shocking. I mean, he was on the road to recovery! He was getting better! BETTER!! And now... this.
Rest in Peace, Christopher Reeve. We will miss you. Your memory will live on in our hearts.

PS: Xenos, That would be awesome if 4 different versions of him came up: a black guy, a kid, on with a robotic arm and leg, and one that kinda glows.

Yes, Christopher Reeve appeared in another Smallville episode in season 3.

When I saw the news, I was completly shocked. Strangely enough at the time I was with a copy of Kingdom Come in my hand, a book dedicated to Christopher Reeve.

My condolences to his family.

It's been four days and I'm still coming to terms with this loss. I remember always having a love for superheroes ever since the 'Superfriends'. When 'Superman: The Movie' came to the big screen, Christopher Reeve captured the heart of an 8 year old. And I was there in the movie theater everytime a sequel came out (even 'The Quest For Peace').

Nine years ago, Christopher Reeve had his unfortunate accident. Like everyone else, I believed he above all people would overcome paralysis and walk again. Alas, that day didn't come. Loosing Mr. Reeve is look loosing a favorite uncle. You just can't believe he's gone. http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/frown.gif

And even though I feel great sadness, it pales in comparison to loss his wife, Dana, and children, Matthew, Alexandra and young Will, must feel. http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/frown.gif They are in my family's prayers.

Wow, we lost Christopher Reeve AND Marlon Brando less than year apart. Hope that thing about bad things come in threes is just hype. Just in case: watch your backs, Margot Kidder and Gene Hackman ...

Wasn't trying to be funny. Worried is more like it. But ... yeah I can see where what I said would have come off as flippant or worse. Sorry. I honestly meant no disrespect to the deceased nor to his colleagues.

I don't think FST's comment was meant to be disrespectful, but I can see how it could be misunderstood. It really is a sad irony that we lost both Mr. Reeve and Mr. Brando this year.

That's cool. When I wrote that, I just lost my father-in-law, so it's been a pretty fulling week from start to finish. http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/frown.gif We had his funeral today. Sadly enough, I feel closer to Christopher Reeve (a man I've never met) than I did to him. But the world won't be the same without either of them. If you believe in a higher being, please send a kind word for my family.
