Hey Darth! I wasn't even aware we HAD a video game section! I don't usually scroll down past the Comics Review Board. http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/biggrin.gif
Anyway I thought I'd drop this off here. It is blatantly lifted from GamePro.com:
Acclaim Signs Another Comic Deal
News by: Fennec Fox
11-JUN-03
Acclaim Entertainment sent word early today that they've signed a deal with DC Comics for the right to publish games based on Vertigo's 100 Bullets series. No release date, developer or expected platform was announced.
100 Bullets, originally created by Brian Azzarello and Eduardo Risso in 1999, is a noir-ish thriller starring Agent Graves, a mysterious representative with even stranger motives. His job—on the surface, at least—is to help out people who have been wronged by giving them the opportunity to shoot down the person responsible for their problems and get away with it scot-free. Of course, there's a lot more to this than it seems, and as the comic continues, Agent Graves' personal story and background begin to take more of the limelight. What's he working for? Who's putting him up to this? And does he do parking tickets, too? The traffic cops around GamePro Towers in are ruthless.
"The 100 Bullets universe possesses all of the key elements that comprise what consumers are looking for in today's games - great characters, deep storytelling and edge-of-your-seat action," said Acclaim vice president Marc Metis. "In keeping with its comic book origin, we will challenge players to 'think before they shoot' and allow them to explore the moral implications of their actions."
This is the second new comic license Acclaim's acquired in as many days—yesterday they announced that their Austin, TX studio has begun work on a title based on independent adventure comic The Red Star. More information should be coming soon on both projects, so stay tuned.
It's a damn good series, but Mephisto knows how Acclaim will handle it--I honestly don't think their games are that great, but they made a mint with the old WWF license and currently with the Turok property. But I hadn't heard about it before so I thought I'd throw that one out there.
Now if I can just get Bruce Banenr's sorry ass over this fence so I can get to another Hulk mission...
Knightmare,
screw it, I'll go back to Ultimate Muscle.
