Hey i was wondering if anyone knows any good sites for the game City of Heros to come out in 2003.
For those of you that don't know it is a Massive MultiPlayer Online Role Playing Game(MMORPG). You are a superhero in Paragon City. You pick the powers, costume, etc.

Everyone here should absolutly join the forums. This will be the game that ends all games!! If you are playing Everquest, once this game comes out, you'll dump it right away.
It should come out next year, but go to the forums, discuss your favorite comics, what should in the game, etc, etc. We have 26,000 members.

Is this game free or what do you have to buy?

It will have a base cost to buy the game and then you set up an account and you pay a monthly charge to play. They (MMORPG) generally cost $10-15 to play.
Having posted this almost a year ago I am a regular at the forums now. If you are looking to join a team why not check out the one I belong to, the Federation of Heroes. Forumn---http://www.coh.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=18709&perpage=15&pagenumber=1

That's per month.
There was a great article about this in one of the gaming magazines. It looks awesome.
I have a question for MMORPGers though. Do you play/subscribe to more than one game. It seems like if you're into more than one, those subscription feed would add up pretty fast. I mean, if you like Everquest, The Sims and CoH...you're looking at $30-$45 monthly just to play these three games.
It seems like there should be some umbrella service where you can pay $30 per month and have access to a WIDE variety of games.
Just my opinion.
In my day video games used to cost a quarter and you only needed 5000 points to get a free game. We would round up bottles and cash in their deposits and play video games all day long. Of course it were simpler times back then. Folks actually met face to face and talked rather then gathering in chatrooms. And we wore onions on our belts, as was the fashion...(old geezer rant continues interminably)....

Actually, some people do that, multiple MMORPG games. But I for one don't. I'll try one, and go to the next and stick with it if its good. Right now I'm on EQ, but I really can't wait for CoH to dump it.

I saw the buzz about this game last year and I think it looks cool- but I seriously doubt I'll be budgeting in a monthly gaming expense in the next few years. If it was like a one time splurge (like PS2 games) then I might buy it for like birthday, x-mas, etc. But to spend that much monthly just adds up to too much over the course of time.
And Rob, you're not so old...when I was in high school (only 6 years ago or so) Jason and I used to go to the Nickel Arcade all the time! Yep, all games just a nickel, and they were open till like one am. I fondly recall playing Area 51 until I couldn't lift my arms anymore...and the ringing in my ears from all the heavy metal music.
