Is anyone else psyched about the new Metroid games coming out?

All I got right now is a GBA, so Metroid Fusion is on my X-Mas list. And today I cannot wait to get the damn thing. I just downloaded the rom for it. Unfortuantely the file was messed up and the sound is not right, but toher than that it plays fine. I was freaking out at how DAMN cool it was. It is AMAZING! The story is &*$#ing unbeliveable and just a great next chapter. I won't say anything, but there are some damn nice ideas and twists. Plus they factor into the gameply which is simply fantastic and more fluid than any Metroid I've played. (Still haven't played the Gameboy or finished the NES one myself.) There was one point where the story takes a interesting twist you may have heard about. I was just giddy. I stopped playing soon after that and am thinking of jsut waiting to get the actual game to continute. This is jsut at the top of my list this year.

As for Mteroid Prime for the Gamecube, it also sounds fantastic. It takes place like before the NES one. Plus if you're worried about it being a FPS, don't. From the reviews and video I've seen, it doesn't change the great gameplay. I think it was nessisary to move to 3d. Sure, maybe a 3rd prson view might have been good, but they ahve optimized 1st person for the Metroid world. Plus you do switch to third in ball mode.

Heck yeah, I can't wait for Metroid Prime to come out. But there's alot of DVD's coming out that I want to buy and I need to spend more time on my artwork. So chances are I won't be buying it anytime soon.

Finally bought Metroid Prime. Don't get this game if don't like giant bugs jumping out at you. I usually don't care for first person shooter games but this one has some good twists to it. My only complaint right now (and I just started playing a 2 days ago)is that on the world of Tallon you're just fighting plants, insects, and some animals. And having save stations is a bit annoying for me when playing a game as long as this one appears to be. I like to be able to save a game whenever I choose to as oppose to trying to keep on playing even when I don't feel like it anymore. So far though, I'm really enjoying the various environments they have created for this game and most of all the "morph ball".

BUUUUMMMMPP!!!

Metroid Prime is kicking my ass. I stopped playing it for a couple of months and started up again. I've gotten to the Omega Pirate boss and keep getting pummeled. I think its time to change strategy but I'm too pissed off from my last beating to play again.

Well I finally beat the bastard and then I gathered the remaining artifacts I was missing. And just when you think the game is over, they throw something big at you, and it can fly, shoot missiles, claw you, beat you and shoot a laser beam out its mouth. I managed to beat that too, but then there's more stuff afterwards so I decided to give a rest.
