Silent Hill the movie

i heard on the net that they announced a SILENT HILL movie. this is a great idea and if they do it right it will be a kick ass movie! but i got me thinking which SILENT HILL game should they use for the movie 1,2,or 3? and who should they cast in the movie?the gut they got to direct the movie it the guy who directed BROTHERHOOD OF THE WOLF i havent seen it. is a good choice for the director?

Brotherhood was a cool movie visually, but i dont see that same style working for silent hill. Brotherhood had too much vivid color, action, and was very stylized. Silent Hill should be dark and spooky and incredibly suspensful and disturbing. But who knows, it may turn out great!

I haven't played it myself, but my roomate said this game freaked the crap outta him when he played it. This could be really creepy. Here's hoping they keep thigns real dark too, I hear that helped some fo teh scare factor in the first game.
