View Full Version : Looks like there might be a sequel after all!!

Eric Bana recently mentioned that he is contracted to do a sequel, and that he would like to do one as well. I think if one were done properly, it could be a lot better than the original, and could make up for the lack of action and real Villians in the first film. Here's hoping that they make one and that director "ANG LEE"(that arse), is removed from the directors chair the next time around.

Personally, I don't blame Ang Lee, I thought he was right for the job. The writers are what ruined that movie. Hulk had potential(not a lot, since I never liked Hulk all that much), but the writing didn't take advantage of it. It was looked on as a monster movie, which is an element, not the driving force of the actual comic. I have a sick fascination with dark stories, so I would have made the first one a bit darker than it was. That's just me. Better writers, Ang Lee directs again, you've got a hit.

Sequel, kewl!! I thoroughly enjoyed the first movie, i like how the focus wasnt on the hulk all the time, and the melancholic atmosphere was great!!

The first film was very ambitious and thoughtful. Its only crime was that it may have overestimated its target audience. Most big budget, summer blockbusters simply ask that we leave our brains at the door (Michael Bay, anyone?). This one actually asked us to dig deeper. The nerve!
I'm pretty sure that in the sequel we'll get a much more conventional action film, which is okay with me. The more box office the sequel does, the better off the franchise will be. However, I sincerely hope Ang Lee stays at the helm. I welcome further exploration of Banner's psyche, and I think Lee is talented enough that he can do this subtlely without alienating an audience that wants a "Hulk Smash!" type film. He need look no further than Bryan Singer, who added scores of clever subtext to the X-Men films that has undoubtedly gone over the heads of the average action fan.
