Is anyone picking up Bruce Jones' run on the Hulk?

It is easily the most interesting the character has been in a very long time. Jenkins' run was interesting, but something about it didn't click with me. Jones has crafted an intense and exciting (yet quite subdued) storyline focusing more on Bruce Banner's guilt and deep paranoia than on his actual life as the Hulk. What perfects the stories is John Romita Jr.'s gorgeous and moody art, which conveys deep emotions even when Jones has wisely chosen to include little dialogue.

It's quickly becoming one of my most anticipated reads each month.

John Romita Jr is possibly the best artist the Hulk has had. He really doesn't get the praise he deserves. AS for Jones' Hulk it's the best it has been since the days of Peter David. The book has gotten into a slump recently and I'm glad Marvel has given the book to someone with a good take on the character. I also really love the depiction of the Hulk. It's an adult approach. You are always aware of the damage and destruction caused by the Hulk without necessarily seeing him in his fully 'glory'. Also, this is the first time I've felt that Banner is addressing the damage his alter-ego is causing. It's the first time in ages I've thorouhly enjoyed reading this title for a long time.

Agreed. Bruce Jones' Hulk rocks. i haven't read the book since Peter David. And so far he's done as good a job entertaining. And I have always loved John Romita Jr. He draws one of the best Punisher's around. and his Hulk is amazing. If the Hulk arc maintains this kind of quality I'm buying the book for the long haul.
Thanks,

You mean Mr. Bruce "giant boob drawing for Heavy Metal" Jones is doing the Hulk? Wait, maybe I'm thinkin' of Richard Corben here. They worked together so that's the way love goes. Bruce Jones of that really cool series from back in the late 1990s is what I remember vaguely. I've been out of the loop and trying to have a life so the comicbooks have been relegated to the backburning pile of things I might do if supremely bored (which I am at work, but that's another story). He also did an Aliens story I think as well as Dark Horse Presents. I do appreciate his perverted leanings when writing so excelsior Mr. Jones. Right on, right on.

Bruce Jones wrote "twisted tales" (if it's the same Bruce Jones). It's the best comic book anthology series ever published producing the best comic book short story of all time: "Banjo lessons"

I can't remember when I enjoyed The Hulk more. Bruce Jones is doing a wonderful job. I recently scaled back on my weekly fix due to economic reasons, dropping such titles as Elektra, Alias, Green Arrow, X-Force, among others. I will always collect the Spider-Man titles, but two comics I can't seem to stop reading are Bendis' Daredevil and Jones' Hulk. I guess I'm hooked...
