Jennifer Garner: Good? Bad? Hot? http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/wink.gif
Whatever you may consider her, there's one word to describe her: Elektra.
But by all means, include whatever words you wish. This is a casting call. http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/smile.gif
How do you think Garner will do?
Who else could play the rich-girl-turned-deadly-ninja-assassin?

If Alias has had any effect on me, it's that I believe Garner will be wonderful as Elektra. I've stated before that she is a very talented chameleon actress capable of changing her attitude and general look at a moment's notice. She has demonstrated that she has a good handle on accents and is obviously well trained in her fighting scenes.
She may not have the same voluptuous body as the Elektra we know in the comics, but, honestly, her body type makes more sense for Elektra. She has a gymnast's build, which would be much more convenient for a nimble assasin ninja. She doesn't need wide hips and large breasts getting in her way...

Essex, you diseased maniac, stop trying to get Jen Garner's attention by giving her complimentary compliments! She already has an agent and a husband man. Gotta admit that she's got the nicest lips this side of, uh, can't say Mick Jagger 'cause that'll sound fruity, oh I know, Angelina Jolie! Yeah baby. Yeah. In short this discussion is closed because they've cast the part already. And it should've been some Greek hottie, but for some reason anonymous posters on comicbook film message boards don't have the power to sway Hollywood directors. Sheeshkabob.

Nah. The discussion is never over, so long as the character exists. After the Batman franchise, we should've all learned one very significant (and often depressing) word: recasting! http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/tongue.gif

I will just let time tell its story.
Meanwhile, here's my choice for Elektra.
Talisa Soto. From Mortal Kombat.

My own choice would have been that woman who plays the head vampire's daughter in BLADE II(TM), as well as the eponymous role in the CLEOPATRA(TM) 2-part miniseries.
...However, having seen the excellent job done by MS. JENNIFER GARNER, the only changes that I would have liked to see were her hair dyed Jet Black, & for her to have worn the red costume designed by MR. FRANK MILLER, her creator, the man who ought to be getting his full props onscreen, just as MR. HARLAN ELLISON should be getting his from MR. JAMES CAMERON.

...And these weapons make me VERY f*ck*n' Responsible!

Well, it might not be over, but I'm wondering why yet another thread was started about this when there's already one with 19 hits here http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/Forum12/HTML/000092.html which wasn't that far down the list of topics, especially not before yesterday when all these other topics were posted above it about Matt Murdock as the Punisher, the Soundtrack, Michael Clark Duncan bashing, Batman rip-offs, and the ones you just started today.
And then there's the other thread about thoughts on an Elektra movie which is just below the other thread: http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/Forum12/HTML/000103.html. Admittedly, this one has gone slightly off topic onto whether Elektra wears any underwear and whether Jennifer Garner would copy that, but the original intent is still valid.

Welshcat, this thread was started way before those other threads. I think a better question would be "why was it resurrected?".
OK then, why was it resurrected? http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/wink.gif
Especially when the Elektra underwear thread was so engrossing.
